Comuna 13 war noch vor 20 Jahren eines der gefährlichsten Viertel in Medellin, aber es hat sich in einen sehr farbenfrohen, lebendigen Ort verwandelt. Der Wandel begann, als die Regierung Rolltreppen in der Gegend baute und so die Gegend mit der Stadt Medellin verband, tatsächlich waren dies die ersten Rolltreppen, die in Lateinamerika installiert wurden. Wir werden durch die Comuna 13 gehen, die besten Aussichten, angesagte Straßenkunst genießen und auch die Reise auf diesen Rolltreppen im Freien unternehmen. Ich habe die meiste Zeit meines Lebens in Comuna 13 gelebt und die Veränderung mit eigenen Augen miterlebt. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re visiting Comuna 13, do yourself a favor and book a tour with John. My group and I spent over two hours exploring the area with him, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Medellín. John was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about sharing the history, culture, and transformation of Comuna 13. He didn’t just show us the famous murals and escalators—he brought the neighborhood’s story to life and gave us a much deeper understanding of the people who live there. What stood out most was how much he genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great experience. He took his time answering questions, helped us with side requests, and made sure we never felt rushed. His energy, professionalism, and local insight made the tour both educational and enjoyable. By the end of the tour, I felt like I had learned more than I ever could from reading online or watching videos.
