2-tägige geführte historische Tour in Angkor

Overall, I’d give the two-day experience 7/10, although the two days felt very different. Day 2 was easily a 9/10 for me, while Day 1 was much more intense. Day 1 covers the major Angkor highlights and starts extremely early for sunrise. We visited Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Ta Keo and Bayon, and it is a very full-on day with a lot of walking, standing and climbing. Unfortunately, we also had extremely heavy rain, which definitely affected my experience. By the last few temples I was exhausted and honestly a little templed-out. If you want to see as much as possible in one day, it is excellent, but be prepared for a long and physically demanding day. Our guide, Vone, was friendly, funny and knowledgeable, and he was also very good about helping everyone take photos. Day 2 was completely different and much more enjoyable for me. We did the Grand Circuit and visited six temples, with a much more relaxed pace and more time in the air-conditioned vehicle between stops. We happened to only have two people on our tour that day, so it essentially became a private tour. Our guide, Pip, was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient and thoughtful, and knew how to avoid the busiest routes through the temples without us missing anything. He would also take us to specific places because he knew they were the best spots for photos. He put so much effort into taking pictures for us and sent us around 150 afterwards, which was such a lovely bonus. Hotel pickup and drop-off were included on both days and were very punctual and easy. We were also given cold water throughout the day, which was very appreciated in the heat. The transport was comfortable and air-conditioned. I definitely think the tour was good value for money. You can absolutely visit Angkor independently if you're on a budget, but the temples are spread quite far apart, so having all the transport organised takes away a lot of hassle. More importantly, having a knowledgeable guide adds so much context to what you're seeing, and you don't have to figure out the history or logistics yourself. My biggest advice would be not to underestimate how tiring the first day can be, especially with the very early start, heat, humidity or rain. Wear comfortable shoes, bring something that can handle getting wet during rainy season, and expect a lot of walking. Overall, I'm really glad I chose the two-day option. Day 1 covered the famous temples I absolutely wanted to see, while Day 2 was quieter, more relaxed and ultimately my favourite of the two. Two days was the right amount for me — I personally wouldn't want a third consecutive temple day.

This was a great way to see the best of the temples in two days. The guides Sok and Sam were both very informative to help contextualize the temples.

Everything was truly wonderful, and I had a very enjoyable time with everyone in the group. Mr. Sam, the tour guide, was really wonderful too.

I was able to visit many ruins over two days. The guide was very kind. They explained in detail the historical background and features of each ruin.

Had a really good experience here specially with Sam our tour guid for the sunset tour. Overall everything was super organized and smooth from start to finish. we were lead at times and left to wonder freely and take pictures at others. Totally recommend.

The experience of this Angkor Wat big loop + outer loop tour was fantastic! The tour guide is very professional, explaining the history of Cambodia and the stories of the temple reliefs in detail and vividly, without just skimming the surface. Plan the time in advance, pick us up at the hotel punctually in the early morning to watch the sunrise, familiarize ourselves with the best photo spots at each temple, and even help take portrait photos. The pace of the trip is very comfortable, not rushed, and they don't take you to shopping malls, with no hidden costs. Warm and patient with people, they answer all questions seriously, and they even prepared cold water in the car and took care of us throughout the journey. Very reliable, highly recommended for friends visiting Siem Reap!
