Excellent hike with Mohamed. He is a very good person with a lot of values. He made the experience memorable. In addition to the explanations, everything was well organized. I recommend without hesitation:)

I can 100% recommend this company and tour. From the hotel pick up to our return everything was handled safely and professionally. Our guide spoke perfect English and was historically very knowledgeable. The food was fresh and local. Our guide seemed to know everyone on the mountain which made for friendly greetings everywhere and them knowing who to return my mobile phone to when I accidentally left it behind. My husband and I had a lovely time.

What an awesome experience this was! Just a two-day hike of Mt Catherine and Sinai. Weather was perfect; conditions were perfect, and my guide Ahmed Mousa was outstanding. Communication before the trip was excellent (one of the main reasons I went with Sinai Hikes), and attention to detail was excellent. Mousa did not require advance payment - just payment after the trip. He also advised on where to stay in Saint Catherine City. He met me the evening before the climb, and also afterwards. His guiding and information on the hike itself was brilliant, as was his lunch cooking! I stayed at a Bedouin camp in between the two hikes - and the hospitality was great. You need to be prepared to rough it, although there was a flushing toilet!! I cannot recommend Mousa of Sinai Hikes highly enough - he was awesome! I would also add, I did the day time climb of Sinai to arrive there for sunset - and had the place to myself! Apparently the sunrise climb is much more popular and therefore much more crowded. Go for sunset!

Ahmed was amazing. From the initial planning which was tinkered to my preference, he was on the ball throughout the whole experience. He went out of his way to ensure that I go what I wanted from the experience. As unfit as I am, he paced the whole journey up and down to suit my body. On my way down, he was able to bear my weight to ensure I safely made it down the steps. The experience itself was amazing and spiritual. The views were spectacular and Ahmed’s stories about the Bedouins were a treat.

As a photographer I was depended on Ahmed organization to do a solo tour to mount Sinai to catch sunset, milky way and sunrise. Not only he exceed every expectations, his charm, calm and welcoming demeanor is a blessing to my wonderful trip. Wish you all the best Ahmed, from Vietnam.

An amazing trip! I've hiked Mount Catherine twice with this company, and once with another. Ahmed and his team ensure everything is perfect. They're responsive and plan the trip with you before the hike, making it safe, comfortable and fun. Whether it's Mount Sinai or Mount Catherine, this is undoubtedly the best company. Let me share my thoughts of my 5 day private hike that I had with Ahmed in November 2023. I have visited Egypt 3 times now and this was the first time that I made the decision to do some hiking in the Sinai region. After multiple searches online I came across Ahmed via Trip Advisor and decided to make contact for a couple of reasons, from other reviews and reading his website. From the first contact I had via WhatsApp (Don’t worry if he doesn’t get back to you right away, he is most likely out of mobile/cell range.), I was impressed how engaging and helpful Ahmed was with planning and listening to what I wanted and giving his advice. Skip forward a few months to when I finally met Ahmed in person, I was greeted warmly, giving me the sense that my journey was going to be great and it was! Ahmed is an absolute gentleman, his knowledge and story telling of the region is so engaging and interesting, learning about the environment and history was excellent The organisation of the hike and this is also a shout out to his team (apologies, I forget the name of the gentleman with the camel and the camel) was perfection. Each night and day everything was prepared when arriving at the camp site, during the day and departing in the morning for the next leg of the journey. I will end with this, my hike and time with Ahmed and his team was simply unforgettable and truly memorable, the scenery was amazing with so many moments of wow, that puts a massive smile on your face. There is so much more I could say, like the sensational food and the conversations we had but It is my hope that if you are reading this, you make the decision and book with Ahmed and experience a truly unforgettable time. Ahmed is the best!! He has almost 15 years experience in hiking and guiding and he knows so much about the history and habitat of Mount Sinai, including herbs, plants and animals. He can tell you about the ancient healing powers of plants as well as the culture of the tribes living in this wonderful environment. He also takes amazing pictures!! What a great day and precious experience. We are very grateful 🙏

Ahmed was an amazing guide for our three day hike - he has so much knowledge about the area and plants growing along the route, looks after everyone in the group and is full of enthusiasm! He is also an excellent storyteller and genuinely kind person that really made our hike unforgettable. I cannot recommend going on the hike with Ahmed enough - from the gardens we stayed in, the hidden swimming spots and delicious meals he made it was a 10/10 trip!
