We did the 12-day camping safari in a small group of 9 people. A special thank you goes to our guides, Anton and Bronhel. They did an excellent job in every respect. Anton drove safely, they cooked excellently, explained and showed us many things, and always made us laugh with their humorous manner. This was one of those trips I’ll remember for a long time. Everything was very well organized, which made it easy to just enjoy the adventure. Simon was an outstanding guide — professional, warm, and deeply knowledgeable, with a real passion for what he does. He always made sure everyone was comfortable and answered every question with so much patience. Sleeping in the tents under the stars was a highlight on its own. Chameleon Safaris delivered a truly authentic experience that I’d recommend to anyone.

12 incredible days with Taimi and J Shaka. It is true that we were lucky to be very few (3, then 4). There were rough times (temperatures, heavy rains, some physical exertions, but rewarded) First Namibia: landscapes, animals, vastness, history, kindness and smiles. Then the infrastructure: well chosen campsites (pitches, infrastructure, rarely precarious), hard housing twice to recover including a wonderful one (Klein Aus Cabin), truck / bus to all proof on these long chaotic tracks straight ahead, quality tents and perfect mattress. Finally a professional team involved, rich in sharing (all topics can be discussed) and knowledge, curious to know us also, kind, laughing, caring, that complements perfectly! With a real specialist in good cooking camping with TAIMI and a hardy and careful driver on these long straight tracks with SHAKA. We leave rich in knowledge and humanity, images full of head and heart. Thank you!! What a fantastic trip thanks to Taimi and Shakka, our 2 guides and driver. Everything was perfect. They went out of their way to find the animals in the parks, to pay attention to our well-being when discovering this beautiful country. We spent incredible days with Chameleon Safari in Namibia, and so much of the magic was thanks to Simon, our guide. Simon is simply exceptional: a true all-rounder with contagious energy and a passion for his job that I’ve rarely seen in anyone. Evrething in one person: he’s a skilled driver, an amazing cook, and above all, someone who gives everything to make every moment special. More than just a guide, Simon became a friend. He was always attentive, helpful, and eager to share his deep knowledge of Namibia, its wildlife, and its culture. Thanks to him, our tour was not only an unforgettable adventure but also a personal and authentic experience that we will cherish forever.

Our 12‑day Namibia Classic Camping Safari with World Adventure Tours was an incredible blend of breathtaking landscapes and easygoing companionship. We journeyed from the wildlife-rich north through Mt. Etjo, Okonjati Reserve, and the magical nighttime wildlife watching at Etosha’s Okaukuejo waterhole, down to the dramatic Skeleton Coast, dunes of Sossusvlei, haunting Kolmanskop, and finally to the vast expanse of Fish River Canyon and the quiver tree forest. We experienced so much of this beautiful, diverse country. What made the trip truly special were the people. Erastus guided us with quiet confidence and personal insights. He made sure we kept to our schedule while also giving us opportunities for spontaneous moments and unforgettable photo opportunities. And Bronie, our assistant and chef, kept us grounded and content with delicious meals and great humor. Plus, our fellow travelers—laughing over the bumpy roads of the game drives, helping each other put up our tents, singing by the campfire, watching the meteorite shower together on a dark night at our campsite—turned the journey into a shared adventure rather than just a tour. I highly recommend this tour!

This safari was an incredible experience. Johny and Erastus were good guides, drove us to all the interesting places and were able to explain the history of the country and the places we saw. These are unforgettable memories and I am delighted to have chosen Chameleon safaris! One negative: in Swakopmund, the day is free and we are advised to pay for an extra activity, which we all chose to do. I think it would be better to include it by default on the safari, especially given the total price.

I joined the 12-day Classic Namibia Camping tour in June 2024 with Kennedy and Josef. There's nothing I didn't enjoy about my trip! The safari experience (3 days of game drives) is unlike anything you'll ever experience. The sense of wonder you feel while watching wildlife in its natural habitat is truly breathtaking. Before heading to Swakopmund, since I was the only participant for the first few days of the tour, Josef helped me fit in a dream of mine by arranging a whale-watching activity within our schedule. I also strongly recommend joining the Sandwich Harbour 4x4 activity (on the same day, which is basically free) — it was so much fun, and from the top of the dunes, the ocean, again, gifted us with the sight of a couple of whales! On the way south, our bus broke down due to what initially seemed like just a flat tire. If you’re planning to travel to Africa, just keep in mind that setbacks like these may happen... and that’s okay because you’ll be in good hands. Once again, Josef and Kennedy went above and beyond to get everything sorted as quickly as possible. Eventually it turned out to be an unexpected and off-the-beaten-path day, spent enjoying the calm landscape and the help of the locals. I truly enjoyed every part of this tour and every place we visited: the wildlife, the endless landscapes, the starry skies you can never get enough of, the red dunes... On some of the nights, you'll fall asleep in your tent to the relaxing sound of the ocean, while on others, as you settle into the quiet of the night, the oryxes' soft footsteps will come closer to your tent. It was, in every way, just magical. The only “downside” (if I can even call it that — and not that it wasn’t advised) to consider when booking a classic tour covering all the major attractions is the vast distances between them. Be prepared to spend a good part of some days just traveling. It can feel a bit rushed at times, with little time to truly enjoy some places. But I guess that’s part of the deal. Last but not least I wish to say that.. traveling through Namibia with Kennedy and Josef didn’t feel like a guided tour, but more like sharing a trip with two friends. They were thoughtful, funny, great cooks, careful drivers, and guides always eager to share their wealth of knowledge. Honestly, all I can say is that they anticipated all my needs — even before I realized them myself. I wish I could just sit with you guys around the fire with a cup of tea for one more night...!

This trip has certainly exceeded all my expectations. Our guides were Anton and Taimi, two amazing, interesting people with a lot of patience and good humor. Always ready to improve everything and attentive to every detail. I honestly have no complaints. I would repeat this trip 100%. Thank you so much Taimi and Anton for making this trip unforgettable. Namibia is a beautiful country, and its people much more.
