A great way to see many areas of the Island with limited time availability. The office staff were very helpful & the Driver was courteous & on our various stops gave some interesting insights into the areas, their history & culture.
Not sure if this is the correct place, but I was able to go to the Lealea lounge at Royal Hawaiian Center and speak to someone that could help me book the trolley. I took advantage of it during my last day on the island and booked the ala moana/don quijote line to do shopping lol . I'm a regular visitor, and it was my first time using the service. I thought it was very convenient and fun to ride. You just need to understand the concept of how the map and stops work. I was a little nervous about that, but everything worked out. I like the open-air concept, and the bumpy ride was fun- think of it as almost off roading, but in a historical vehicle. Did not get the driver's name, but he was very friendly, typical kamaina. I would definitely use the service again, but maybe to other destinations.
It was my last day in Hawaii and it gave us something to do. The first driver we had was very good and told us things and very nice helpful and knowledgeable about what was around. We got off at the shopping center waited about 5 minuted for the next hop on hop off was very disappointed the driver was unfriendly did not say where we were going or what was around. I wish that it stop at more places than just a few stops. Over all it was worth it
Chico - absolutely amazing commentary. So very interesting and informative. Everywhere you need to go. Hop on hop off all day $6. 12 stops.
We had a great time on the Trolley today. Our best tour was with driver Dude Jr. He was great, informative, fun and took awesome photos!!
I think it was a waste of time because there were not many flights, so if you stop over you have to wait a long time for the next trolley. The trolley was coming late, so I was really frustrated and anxious because I didn't know what was going on. Contacting the map contact did not seem to know the status of the flight. When I got on the bus a long time ago (pre-coronavirus), I think there were more flights.
I used the Marama Line to visit the Bishop's Museum. Even though it was 10 minutes before departure, they handled ticketing and I was able to ride smoothly. Driver DUDE Jr. was a cheerful and fun guide, explaining the sights, street origins and history along the way. He's a groovy nice guy lol. They said they were practicing Japanese, but both Japanese and English explained well. He was also full of service spirit, making time to stop and take pictures when he had time. He told me that he grew up in Hawaii, and he taught me a lot about Hawaii's flora, fauna, schools and cityscape. It was an enjoyable ride that I didn't think was just a trip. I wanted to ride the bus with DUDE Jr. again next time! One of the most memorable memories of my stay in Hawaii!
What a great way to see Waikiki and get to alamoana mall and anywhere else. We had the best trips with Taner. Great karaoke, information and really kind.
Hector was the driver when I was heading to Ala Moana today...he was very nice and his spin on the sites of Waikiki before we hit mall was entertaining. I love it when your drivers talk a little bit about their family life too..we also rode Red Line and didn't get her name, but she was very sweet...we've been coming at least 18 years in a row to Oahu, and now since we've done everything, just nice to relax and not rush...but we miss the Purple Line and miss all the ladies that work inside the DFS Trolley center before Covid hit...
Very disappointing. First lack of communication where to park. I went to the Royal Hawaiian Center where you get the trolley and they charged $2.50 for 20 min. Parking more expensive then trolley. The trolley to Diamond Head was basically a bunch of bus stops. Our driver, was not understable and lacked knowledge.
