Unser englisch / französisch sprechender Reiseleiter wird Sie gegen 10 Uhr nach dem Frühstück in Kigali abholen. Nach einer kurzen Einweisung mit einem privaten Fahrzeug fahren Sie mit der Stadtrundfahrt durch Kigali fort und enden gegen 3 Uhr nachmittags Kigali ist Ruandas Hauptstadt und wurde 1907 von Dr. Richard Kandt, dem ersten in der Kolonialzeit ansässigen Gouverneur von Ruanda, benannt. Die Stadt ist auf mehreren Hügeln und Tälern gebaut. Kigali-Kompromisse aus drei Hauptbezirken, darunter Nyarugenge, Kicukiro und Gasabo. Denkmal Das Kigali Genocide Memorial umfasst drei Dauerausstellungen, von denen die größte den Völkermord gegen die Tutsi von 1994 dokumentiert. Ihre Kleidung, die mit Nummern bedruckt ist, speziell für die Gäste, um Taschen zu tragen, wird von der Marktleitung mit einer Geldstrafe belegt, wenn sie keine Uniformen tragen.
Mount Kigali oder Mont Kigali auf Französisch ist ein Hügel in der Stadt Kigali, Ruanda, nach dem die Stadt benannt wurde. Mount Kigali liegt direkt westlich des Stadtzentrums im Bezirk Nyarugenge. Der Großteil des Distrikts Nyarugenge liegt an den Hängen des Mont Kigali. Die Westhänge des Mount Kigali enden im Tal des Flusses Nyabarongo. Mit einer Höhe von 1.853 Metern (6.079 Fuß) dominiert er zusammen mit dem höheren Mont Jali auf 2.078 Metern (6.818 Fuß) direkt im Norden die anderen Hügel der Stadt, da sie zwischen 1.300 und 1.600 m hoch sind. Dadurch bietet der Mount Kigali einen weiten Blick auf die gesamte Stadt Kigali im Osten und Norden, die Südprovinz im Westen und Süden und die Ostprovinz im Osten und Süden.

Today was one of the most moving days for me. I was not sure what to expect in coming to Rwanda, and I knew I wanted to come to support a friend who survived the genocide 30Ys ago: I had a day alone to explore Kigali b4 mtg him in his village tomorrow. My day with Justin was so far beyond. We started with the history of Rwanda pre and into colonial times & then moved to the genocide memorial. The level of tragedy is unconscionable but what impacted me most is seeing how the country has healed and created a very different country today. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Justin was the best - humble, gentle, knowledgeable & very open. Learning his own story along side seeing the impact and aftermath of that kind of violence and how the country came together is a model for all of in these times.

I had very few days in Kigali and to be able to see as much as possible I contacted Silverbird Tours. They replied fast in e-mail and gave me all the information I needed before going. On the day of the tour company came exactly on time to my hotel. The driver Justin was very nice to travel with and he gave me the chance to see and do exactly what I wanted to. Without the conpany and the driver I would not had the chance to see and experience so much of Kigali. Wonderful service!

Genocide, memorial and museum was a not miss, Driver was friendly, nice lunch with local food. Great way to try to understand the genocide, and how colonialism impacted the country.
