1-tägige Stockholm Archipelago Kajaktour in kleinen Gruppen

Beschreibung

We had a great time exploring the Archipelagos via kayak, it was certainly a unique experience and a wonderful way to experience the beauty and nature of Sweden. Our guide, Julia was wonderful, very passionate and knowledgeable. The group size was good, a total of 6 people, however the varying experience levels did seem to slow us down a fair amount. Lunch was fine, we had quiche, salad, and coffee, plus a fika break on the water with cookies and coffee/tea. I do think some relevant details were missing from the tour description - there is only one tour guide, and the group is responsible for carrying the kayaks and gear to the dock to launch and back from the end point (through the woods via hiking trail and partway over a paved road). This was not an easy task for the participants on our tour, with some members not able to help and others having to carrying multiple kayaks and take several trips to make up the difference. We also had to clean the kayaks upon returning, which is an innocuous task, but one would think the company would take care of these things. I do think there should be two guides on this trip, especially to manage kayakers of different skill levels and to help with set up and clean up. It was about a 40 minute van ride there and back, and probably 40 minutes to set up and 40 minutes to clean up, we probably spent around 2 hrs 30 min, maybe 3 hours in total kayaking. I highly recommend this experience, just know what you are getting into! Communication with the tour company was good, we had originally signed up for the half day tour, which they were not going to hold for the day, so they upgraded us to the full day, which was much appreciated.
I had a great time kayaking and being with the people on this trip. Our guide was fantastic and a fun person to chat with. The five others on the trip were also good fun. We stopped for lunch and a short hike to check out the scenery (a very short climb up a lookout tower), water and all the boats. It was perfect weather which made it even better. I would definitely do this trip again.
Marcus was fantastic. Very engaging and so helpful on this trip as well as for visiting Stockholm in general
We had a fantastic day with our guide Marcus. He took time to make sure everything was well prepared, tailored his advice and supervision to the varying levels of experience and carefully considered our route with regard to wind etc to give us the best experience. We covered a satisfying, but manageable distance with a variety of padding conditions (all fine for novices) and the most beautiful archipelago views throughout. The lunch stop with a chance to dip and hike in nature and learn about the environment we were in and a little about the Swedish mindset was wonderful, as was the delicious lunch cooked over an open fire. We loved our day thank you Marcus!
I enjoyed a delightful, relaxing day with Daniel. A short drive through forest and farmland to see rural, coastal living. The kayaks, equipment and launch site was excellent. Daniel was a great guide, going at my slow pace, allowing discussion and answering all my questions along the way, soaking up the headland and island points. Lunch was delicious, cooked on a small island that I learned later was richer in plant life than on first glance. Highly recommend.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the peaceful day with Daniel and the beautiful Stockholm Archipelago. It’s great to hear you appreciated the nature and the delicious island lunch!
This is the best thing I did while visiting Stockholm. It was an amazing experience and our guide, Marcus, was awesome. Really great guy that is highly knowledgeable about the archipelago and the plants and animals there. It is such a beautiful place. Really incredible day. I would highly recommend!
Very well done tour and caring guide. It’s a nice day out, only 30 mins drive from Stockholm, but the day on the water paddling among the islands feels remote. Great tour company too.
I found the guide quite limited in his thinking, as he kept assuming I was a beginner kayaker based on my gender and made several comments about it (I grew up with kayaking and did a recent multi day trip in Norway). However, once we got going it was a good laugh and varied experience, which actually felt quite wild, given it was a one day experience.
Marcus was a brilliant guide. This was the best thing I did while in Stockholm. The day out kayaking was a lovely variety of sun and storm. We stopped by at a couple of islands. Marcus gave us great knowledge on the plant life as we walked around the islands. I was able to sample wild lingon berries, juniper berries, bilberries, chives, spruce sprouts, St. John’s wort, etc. The lunch we had was fantastic, and we all enjoyed a great conversation. By the end of the day, I think the entire group had a brilliant time. 11/10 would tour the area again. Marcus was the best! Next time, I come to Sweden, I’ll be booking a tour with these guys again.
Our experience exceeded our expectations. Our guide Marietta was deeply knowledgeable, an excellent communicator, and a good leader of new kayakers. I recommend this experience to anyone!
