It was a really fun experience. Got to learn to make some southern staples and the history of Atlanta. Our guide Zoe made the experience very enjoyable.
Hands down - a must do when you visit Atlanta. Take a break for 1.5 hours to cool off in this gorgeous kitchen. Zoe was phenomenal! Great stories, great tips, and amazing kindness. Will come back and do this again and again. The biscuits were delicious, but the pimento cheese was the best ever! Thank you, Zoe!
This is a MUST DO activity! Zoe was absolutely incredible. Her story telling and historical review were engaging and impressive. As two non-cookers from DC, we are blown away with the food we made - DELICIOUS! Zoe gave us inside tips that we will carry forward and use again. The facility is brand new and spotless! Thank you!
Amazing storytelling, incredible food, great guide! Thanks for a fun and informative time!
Our class was so much fun! We came here to kick off our daughter’s 16th birthday, and this was the perfect balance of hands-on experience and history through story telling. Zoe was an exceptional instructor; she quickly learned who each of us were and was the embodiment of southern hospitality . Her directions were perfectly paced and delivered even for my teenagers. We cannot compliment her enough! Sidenote: We loved the local products being sold on the premises as well.
Zoe taught me and my family how to make biscuits even though half of us can’t but she was very patient and told us ever single step would 100% recommend and repeat
Kristin was an amazing host. She was knowledgeable, energetic and friendly.
What a fantastic cooking class and experience! We loved our instructor - Glenn - he was excellent. And so knowledgeable about Atlanta and the market and history. It was a highlight of our trip - my whole family loved it, and now when we go back home we know the secret of making delicious, fluffy biscuits and sweet tea!
What a fun afternoon! People, food, process, leadership, and setting were all wonderful. So glad we spent the time with Glenn and left with such delicious food!
We really enjoyed our Southern Essentials cooking class! Glenn, our guide, was full of historical knowledge of not only the Sweet Auburn Market, but the history of sweet tea and the food we prepared. The recipes were simple and easy to follow. We found Glenn to be an excellent instructor and pretty funny too. The best part of the day…we got to bring home extra biscuits and pimento cheese! 😋
