Bliv bekendt med det hollandske landskab under denne 8-timers dagstur med din guide gennem landsbyerne Zaanse Schans, Edam, Volendam og Marken. Forundre de berømte vindmøller i Zaanse Schans, mens du lærer om deres betydning for regionen. Besøg et træsko værksted, hvor de vil skære os live denne typiske sko. Tag dig tid til at fotografere de imponerende landskaber. Besøg Edam, et verdensarvssted, og hvis gamle bydel er en af de smukkeste i Holland. Nyd i en ostefabrik, hvor de vil vise os, hvordan ost laves. Denne tur inkluderer en omfattende smagning. Fortab dig selv midt i de slående træhuse og en labyrint af smalle gader i Volendam, den tidligere fiskerby. Nyd lidt fritid til at smage den lokale fisk. Volendammers torsk og sild er lækre! Rejs derefter til den gamle ø Marken og nyd den fantastiske udsigt omkring dig. Dette historiske sted er stadig velbevaret den dag i dag. Endelig vender vi tilbage til Amsterdam.

Efter en vandretur gennem centrum af den historiske by Edam, hvor vi besøger dens mest kendte monumenter og hjørner, får vi adgang til en typisk ostefabrik, hvor de vil fortælle os om processen med at fremstille ost, og vi vil nyde en smagning af forskellige typer af ost.
Vi vil nyde en guidet tur i den gamle bydel og havnen i Volendam. Vi vil have fri tid til at gå rundt og spise på en af dens restauranter.
Når vi ankommer til øen Marken, vil vi nyde en guidet tur fra dens idylliske havn gennem dens smalle gader, før vi vender tilbage til Amsterdam. På grund af vejlukninger vil besøget i Marken ikke finde sted fra den 13. april til den 18. maj.

Really enjoyable trip to the countryside and to see the small villages. Really enjoyed the whole day!!
Well organized and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and she really enjoyed her job. The time allotted for each stop was sufficient for exploration. Good choice of places to visit while on the tour.
Unlike the many other day tours we’ve done (both in Europe and Asia), this was not a great use of time. It started with a very chaotic check in process (no guidance, just waiting for the bus for 15 min past the planned arrival followed by a mob of people going back and forth across a busy street as we tried to figure out what to do, how to get checked in, and which of 3 buses to board). This could have been solved with directions sent ahead of time as well as the guides actually arriving on time. Then, our particular guide gave almost no information about what to expect or rules for the day. This led at one point to her announcing someone was late coming back to the bus and would be left… yet, that expectation was never communicated up front and that poor person would just be stranded without any understanding. She also failed to share a contact number in case of any issues, which has been standard practice on every other tour I’ve taken. Finally, some of the “facts” she shared about Amsterdam contradicted what I’ve read in books and city museums, giving the impression she didn’t really know what she was talking about. Finally, the design of the day was quite poor. We didn’t go to Zaans first as stated in the itinerary but instead did that last and for 30 min less than the advertised itinerary. Meanwhile, we had far too much time at the lunch stop — 2 hours in an overpriced tourist trap!!! The cheese tasting we went to wasn’t very impressive and was in fact overpriced from what we saw the cheese sells for in Amsterdam. The other stops were nice to see but not worth the headache of the rest of the day. Overall, if we could do again - we would have simply taken public transportation to Zaans to be able to properly see the windmills. That part of the day was very impressive - the clog making demonstration was great as well! But there wasn’t enough time there, partly due to the poorly planned itinerary and partly due to our poorly trained guide. I think this may have been a failure of the providing tour company - chameleon. Oh and one other thing - you need euro coins to use the public bathrooms in the villages on this trip. This wasn’t share duo front and made for an uncomfortable portion of the day.
Our guide is knowledgeable and well prepared. She made us feel welcome and she managed time well, keep the group on track,

I am very angry about this trip. Although the ticket showed the pickup spot, and stated that you had to arrive by 9:45, and that the guide would be in green with a green umbrella, none of that was true. After frustrating delayed Uber issues getting there, we did arrive precisely at 9:45, I found the person with the green umbrella, and she said she was not related to the operator of this trip and had no idea of any other group tour. In addition, there was no sign whatsoever of a tour group, bus, or any other indications you had just been there. I missed the tour even though I complied with all the instructions. I was really looking forward to it, and am angry that the tour operator gave such bad instructions on the ticket.

Ana Maria was a ten-out-of-ten guide, with a very friendly personality and good vibes. She knew many things about the towns and answered all your questions with all kinds of detail. The only thing I would change is that I felt there was little time to visit each town. I recommend the food (battered cod!) and the ferry.

Some of the stops were beautiful to explore. Felt like the tour guide wasn't being transparent in what would be available and with a more accurate timeline. We were told we had to order from a specific restaurant beforehand, but when we got to the stop there were plenty of options to choose from. The bus was comfy.
