Yala National Park Special Leopard Safari Tours By Dinuka Safari

Our Leopard safari with Dinuka Safari was great! We saw the Leopard three times! We saw buffalos, birds,elephants and crocodiles very close. Also a cobra crossed our way! I booked a full-day (starting at 5 am and returned to the hotel by about 6:30 pm) tour for 5 people with Dinuka Safari on 26/08/2026. Dilanka was a fabulous driver! He was on time, friendly, and knowledgeable on the fauna we saw at Yala. He also worked extremely hard to get us to see a Leopard. The park itself was awesome, and it was great for seeing birds and mammals. Although there were plenty of visitors, it wasn't crowded, as the park is enormous. The food for breakfast and lunch was delicious, and very satisfying. Also, the seats in the car were comfortable, and had no issues for a full-day safari. I recommend taking some sunscreen, as the sun can bite. My friends and I had an amazing time!

Superb, outstanding, magical, exciting, joyful. We had the best day discovering the wonders of nature in Yala National Park. Four leopard sightings, 4 elephant encounters, deer, crocodile, exotic birds, buffalo, tortoise and more. And the day was made especially memorable by our guide Darshana.

We would highly recommend this Yala safari tour! 🐆 We were incredibly lucky to spot the famous Sri Lankan leopard, along with plenty of other amazing wildlife. Our driver was extremely experienced and knowledgeable, and really took the time to make the experience special. He didn’t simply follow the crowds, and the safari never felt rushed, allowing us to properly enjoy each sighting. We were also treated to a delicious breakfast during the safari, which was the perfect finishing touch. Thank you for such a fantastic experience — we would definitely recommend you!

What an amazing experience! Dilanka was an excellent driver and did a fantastic job helping us spot so many animals on safari—including a leopard. We saw elephants, crocodiles, buffalo, lizards, and a wonderful variety of birds. But nothing compares to seeing the ultimate kitty: the leopard. They are very difficult to find, so you should consider yourself lucky if you spot one. Dilanka stayed in contact with the other drivers and quickly took us to a place where one had been seen. We were lucky enough to see her lying majestically on a rock! We could only see her clearly through binoculars, so make sure to bring yours. A once-in-a-lifetime experience—highly recommended! Just keep in mind that seeing a leopard is never guaranteed.

The safari tour with Dinuka Safaris was fantastic! Our guide Dilanka was awesome and he worked really really hard to find us sightings of the Sri Lankan leopard and we were able to see two of them on different occasions - one up on a rock looking so regal and one sleeping in a tree as well as elephants, crocodiles and Buffalo. And then right at the end we sighted two little sloth bears on the road. Something unique to the tour with Dilanka was enjoying a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast when we noted others just had sandwich boxes from their hotel. It was the best day ever so if you want a safari with a difference then I would reccommend Dinuka Safaris and make sure you ask for Dilanka to be your guide. you won’t be disappointed!! The drivers were so different but all good in their own way. Dilanka was a really fast driver and almost first in the park, made sure we were the first to find the leopards (couple). Ishan took his time but when it matters the most he made sure we could see the leopards (couple and solo) and had the best spot. Darshana knew to tell us everything about all the animals, I asked him if we could look for the slothbear but I knew it was almost impossible.. but we managed to find the mother with 2 cubs. We had a great experience with Dinuka Safari in Yala National Park. We joined a full-day safari in Block 1 and a half-day safari in Block 5 with Haslanka and Dilanka as our drivers. Both drivers were skilled, knowledgeable, and passionate about wildlife, making each safari a memorable experience. Thanks to their expertise, we were lucky enough to see several leopards, sloth bears, elephants, and many other fascinating animals and birds. Communication with Dinuka Safari was good throughout, and everything was well organized. We highly recommend them to anyone visiting Yala!
