Vi vil gå til markedspladsen, hvor du vil se de to første fremtrædende vartegn, Falkenhaus en kro bygget i det 18. århundrede med en dejlig rococo facade. Lige nord for markedspladsen ligger Marienkapele (Marias Kapel) med sin velbevarede gotiske arkitektur og smukke statuer lavet af den berømte tyske skulptør Tilman Riemenschneider. Det er en kort gåtur derfra til rådhuset og den store barokke springvand, "Vierröhrenbrunnen". Fra dette punkt krydser vi den gamle bro over hovedfloden, som også er en god billedmulighed. (Valgfrit på denne tur er Marienberg fæstning over floden, som er tilgængelig med offentlig transport eller til fods. Det drejer sig om en 20 minutters gang op til fæstningen, hvis du foretrækker at gå, og derfra vil du have en fantastisk udsigt over Main floddalen og byen. På vej ned ad broen går vi mod Residence, et storslået barokke bypalads. Beliggende under Residence er Staatlicher Hofkeller. Den gamle kongelige domkirke vinkælder, der byder på nogle af de bedste vine i regionen, en handel denne by er berømt for!

Elizabeth was excellent. Very knowledgeable, good communication, answered all questions, highly recommend.
Since we unfortunately had 2 hours train delay we could not use the full 2 hours of the tour. Nevertheless, Ms Nickel took a little longer to show us some of Würzburg. Her stories were very refreshing and entertaining. Furthermore, she and a few more tips on what else we can do. On the whole, we really liked the tour. Thank you for this

It was more like share a drink. No AH moment even from a distance along river banks. There was a spot I saw clamped of locked keys.

Stefanie was fantastic. We have traveled to a lot of countries with various guides and she was by far the best. She enjoys people and has guided for over 20 years. It showed. She provided in detail background history of the famous sights. We had great conversation throughout the tour. She knew what would be open, such as cathedrals etc. She packed a lot in; 3 hours worth of content in 2 hours. She made the best use of our time. It was truly an enjoyable experience. Anyone is fortunate to have Stefanie as their guide.

Our guide, Stefanie A, was the BEST walking tour guide I've EVER had. She is classy, well-spoken and eloquent and a beautiful story teller! I could listen to hear speak all day. I was traveling with a group of 12 students from a community college in Texas and met my German exchange student in Würzburg with his family who speak limited English, but because of her slow, clear and beautiful communication, they were able to understand most of the tour in English! She is so regal and such a joy and I feel so blessed we got to have her twice (part one on our arrival day in Würzburg, and then again on Sunday, December 15th. Thank you for such a wonderful tour, Stefanie, and for helping me pick the perfect wine in the Residenz Gift Shop! I shared it with friends when I got home to Texas and it was delicious!
