Wild Coast Bike og EBike Tour i Kinsale Cork Irland

Dette er en fantastisk halvdags guidet cyklus, der lader dig opleve det fantastiske kystlandskab på Wild Atlantic Way. Turen bringer dig ned ad næs og langs vilde strande gennem det frodige, grønne irske landskab. Du vil se køer græsse på markerne og afgrøder som majs gløde og svaje i vinden. Vi starter ved Lusitania Museum/Old Head Signal Tower med udsigt over Old Head Gold Links, Cork havn og det smukke West Cork område. Vi cykler langs to strande før vores stop i en traditionel irsk pub i landsbyen Ballinspittle. Her nyder vi en te/kaffe eller sodavand, inden vi vender tilbage på cykel gennem mere betagende landskab til vores udgangspunkt. Turen involverer cykling i moderat kuperet terræn. Det er velegnet til par, grupper og familier med større børn. For grupper kan den nøjagtige turrute skræddersyes til dit behov. Cykler og elcykler er forsynet med hjelm og high vis vest.

Vores mødested! Dette er et lille museum, der ligger i et gammelt udsigtstårn. Der er en lille café og toiletter.
Mens vi cykler, følger vi en del af Wild Atlantic Way, en 2.600 km (1.600 mile) afmærket kørerute langs Irlands kyst. Denne rute er udvalgt for at følge områdets bedste natur og kulturelle og historiske oplevelser.
Vi cykler langs denne vilde strand og nyder ofte at se folk svømme og dyrke andre vandsportsaktiviteter såsom surfing og kiteboarding.
Vi stopper for en te/kaffe eller sodavand på en pub i den farverige landsby Ballinspittle. Der er en ølhave, hvor vi kan sidde ude, hvis vejret er godt.
Den resterende tid vil blive brugt på at cykle gennem landskabet.
Vi afslutter vores tur tilbage, hvor vi startede ved Old Head of Kinsale. Hvorfor ikke gå ind på museet og besøge tagterrassen for at få mere fantastisk udsigt over området?

We try to get out of the touristy areas and see some countryside and ebikes are a great way to do it. Ruth was a great guide taking us along some rural roads and explaining some of the local lifestyle. The bikes were well maintained, easy to use. Even though you will see some local traffic, the Irish are accustomed to safely maneuvering around walkers and bikers and Ruth was great at giving us instructions when and where we needed to pull off for traffic. Highly recommend Ruth and this bike trip.

Ruth was extremely helpful with getting our bikes booked and ready, she is so responsive to emails and was on hand on the phone when needed. The bikes were excellent quality and perfect for a cycle along the coastline - E bikes recommend for those hills ! The views were stunning and Ruth recommended the perfect route. Small group tour on a mix of electric and normal bikes. Casual. Informative. Useful workout! Super coffee stop with view of fabulous Head of Kinsale. Tour lenght was just right and finished on time. Ruth was a great guide/leader. Thanks

We booked the e-bikes for three 50-something aged couples of mixed biking/athletic ability. The “pedal assist” bikes were easy to use and made the tour struggle free for everyone. I hadn’t rode a bike in 40 years, but all of my nerves dissipated minutes after I started riding. Our tour guide, Ruth, was amazing. She took us along the coast, through a forest, and along scenic back roads. Her historical and cultural knowledge of the area is unmatched. Most of all, Ruth was patient and kept us safe on the bikes and roads. Our stop at the cafe gave us time to enjoy truly delicious scones, tea and cappuccino, as well as breath taking views of beaches and the water. I highly recommend making this tour part of your itinerary if you are visiting the Kinsale area. Worth every penny, and you will feel like you accomplished some real physical activity, even though the bikes are set to do all the “work” for you if you want them to.

Ruth and her colleagues were 10/10. They handled our big group of 25 with such ease and care! It was a way to explore that we wouldn’t have been able to experience otherwise. Everyone is still talking reminiscing about it. Would recommend everyone do it!
