I spent 7 unforgettable days on safari with Hassan, traveling completely solo, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better guide. As a solo female traveler, safety was my biggest concern, but Hassan made me feel comfortable, protected, and at ease from the very beginning. I trusted him completely, and that allowed me to fully enjoy every moment of the trip. Hassan’s knowledge of the wildlife, animal behavior, and the parks was incredible. Every morning he explained what the day would look like, what we might see, and answered every question I had with patience and enthusiasm. He also checked in with me throughout the trip to make sure I was comfortable, having a good time, and had everything I needed. He went above and beyond to make my experience special, whether it was making sure I had fresh watermelon, juice, or coffee, or stopping whenever I wanted more time to enjoy an animal. I even found myself asking to eat meals with him because I genuinely enjoyed our conversations—they became one of my favorite parts of the trip. By the end of the seven days, I felt like I had not only experienced an incredible safari but had also made a true friend. If you’re lucky enough to have Hassan as your guide, you’re in the best hands. He is kind, professional, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and someone who genuinely cares about his guests. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I found Axis Safari on TripAdvisor, and from the very beginning they made an excellent impression on me. They were very responsive and quick to answer all of my questions. Our safari started on July 1st. The driver arrived on time and was very kind. First, we visited the office, where we met our wonderful guide, Jack. Jack shared a wealth of knowledge about the animals, their behavior, and life in Kenya. He made the experience both educational and enjoyable. I would highly recommend choosing Axis Safari, especially if you have the opportunity to be guided by Jack. He truly made our safari unforgettable!

The tour was a really great experience. The value was adjustable based off of your budget with cheaper or more expensive accomodations. We went mid level and we're thrilled with all but 1 place. Really the star of the show was out guide/driver John Mwangi. He was good to talk to but didn't try to take over the event with his personality. He was attentive and would stop and adjust for any and all shots we wanted of the animals. We managed to see pretty much everything we wanted which was no small feat. He was a really smooth driver, always on time, and went above and beyond to find the best spot every time. He also answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable of the wildlife, park, and culture. Our tour was for 7 days going from Masai Mara, through to Amboseli.

Our family spent an unforgettable 5 days on safari: 2 days in Masai Mara, 1 day in Nakuru, 1 day in Naivasha, and 1 day in Amboseli. It was truly one of the best travel experiences we've ever had. Our guide, Peter Kapino, was exceptional and went far beyond our expectations. His excellent driving skills and deep knowledge of wildlife behavior, animal habitats, and daily routines allowed us to see the Big Five, the "Big Ugly Five," countless bird species, and even elusive animals such as cheetahs, leopards, lions, and black rhinos. It was clear that his experience and expertise made all the difference. Peter was also incredibly patient, kind, friendly, and professional throughout the entire trip, making every game drive enjoyable and memorable. Axis was outstanding from the very beginning. They provided detailed information about the different safari options, pricing, and what was included, and they were always responsive to our questions, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Peter Kapino as a safari guide and Axis as a safari company. They exceeded our expectations and made this an unforgettable adventure.

In my experience with Axis Africa, I was able to see and do everything I could have ever hoped for. Not only did we see every animal you would expect to encounter in Africa, but the entire journey was also exceptional. Our tour guide was kind, charismatic, and clearly passionate about his work. He took his role seriously and did everything he could to ensure we had an unforgettable experience from start to finish. I highly recommend Axis Africa to anyone looking to experience Africa’s wildlife to its fullest.

It was a nice safari, it was a bit rushed but I did manage to see a lot in the span of 5 days.

We had an amazing experience on the 4 Night/5 Day Safari trip. Our guide, Kevin, was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire trip. It was very clear he had a passion for showing people all the amazing beauties of Kenya. During game drives he was communicating extensively with other guides and rangers to get us access to the best animal sightings. He also seemed to have a strong intuition for the movements and behaviors of the animals (especially the big cats), which let him position the safari vehicle in the best spots. There were multiple times when we parked a bit away from the other vehicles only to have the cats come right up to our car. Axis safaris provided a great itinerary and were really glad we did the full 5 days as biking through hells gate was also a major highlight. If I had to change anything I would make the cost options available per night so you could splurge on a night at Lake Naivasha while also staying in more budget friendly accommodations elsewhere. Some of the days were long drives without many activities, partnering with hotels to provide more optional evening activities could also go a long way while also making sure the guides have plenty of rest. Overall this was truly an unforgettable trip with an amazing group of people and a fabulous guide additionally seeing the big 5 and all the big cats was a big plus. I would highly recommend joining an Axis tour to anyone coming to Kenya.

Our experience has been amazing! From the booking up to the Safari per se, it has been smooth and perfect. The Safari car was clean, new and very comfortable. Our guide Kevin was amazing, very knowledgeable, he did his best to help us see the animals - we saw the big 5!! Highly recommend the hotels we stayed at - we picked the most expensive options - the hotels were very good, specially Lake Nakuru Lodge and Lake Naivasha sopa! Tabitha that took care of our booking was very lovely and helpful during the process - she would normally reply in less than 1h to all my queries

The tour was amazing from start to finish. Our guide Kevin was brilliant and was very knowledgeable about all the wildlife and surrounding areas - even spotting all the big 5 during our stay! We did the 5 night safari and the hotels selected by Axis were all great , and the safari vehicle was also very comfortable. We selected option 4 hotels which were all really nice, and topped off by our stay in Lake Naivasha where we had giraffes, zebra and hippos inside the hotel grounds. My only small critique is we could have fit maybe another activity (another evening drive or a different activity) on day 3 where it was mostly a travel day from Masai Mara to Nakuru. Overall it was a truly unforgettable experience and I would highly recommend Axis (and our guide Kevin!)

I had a fantastic time on safari in Kenya. Khalifa was my guide + driver, and he is patient, kind, helpful, and extremely knowledgable about all the animals, parks, people, and customs. There wasn't a question he couldn't answer. I did the lowest budget option, and while the accommodations in the Masai Mara area wasn't glamorous, there was always a safe place to sleep, a hot meal, and friendly people. The 2nd full day in the Masai Mara was a long, hot day (which is to be expected), but it was a tough day for me. The hike through Hell's Gate was an additional cost (not mentioned in the paperwork) and was a real hike and not a "walk" as it was called. Totally worth it, I just wish my expectations had been better set.
