We were a group of 4 and booked a private guided walking tour. We had a wonderful guide in Guran. He was courteous, discreet and so professional, with endless knowledge of all aspects of Vienna and the places we visited on the tour. He also gave us great insight in to the history of the Austro-Hungarian and other empires.
Caleb was very knowledgeable especially due to his background Our flight was delayed and he just escorted when we finally made
Ernst was an excellent guide. He gave us both historical and contemporary information for all of the sites we visited. He took us to the "checklists" places as well as some atypical places. It was a refreshing mix. Our family of six really enjoyed it.
Our guide was personable & knowledgable. Maybe watching too much TikTok and thing all Americans use “F” word freely. Guide is political and wanted confirmation on this beliefs. Did not appreciate. He made it about his opinions.
I am rating the experience 1 star as the Vienna tour guide did not show up for the private walking tour. We only had 24-hours in Vienna so we could not rebook. I appreciate the tour company reimbursing me the full cost but I was extremely disappointed!
Hello, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we're sincerely sorry for what happened. A Lokafyer no-show is a rare situation but a serious one, and we own that. We're glad the refund was processed quickly, but we fully understand that a refund cannot replace a missed afternoon in Vienna, especially with only 24 hours in the city. We will be reviewing this booking internally to understand what happened with the Lokafyer and to strengthen our backup process. Wonderful experience and such a sweet guide. Took me to see some historical sights and shop for souvenirs. Definitely recommend having someone that’s local and knows the area.
Ernst was an absolute pleasure to have our tour with. His English was fantastic, he threw in humour and it felt enjoyable walking around with him. He showed us a great variation of sights, included in depth history and also information that was relatable. He also pointed out things we wouldn't have noticed on our own, he made recommendations and we have since had meals at both the restaurants he recommended and they were great choices. We booked this tour last minute after another one canceled, and we couldn't be happier. Otis was great! Felt like we were being shown around the city by an old friend. He was great taking us to so many places, telling us about the history of the city, helping us learn about the transportation within the city, and many wonderful food recommendations. It was a great first night and introduction to the city!
Worth doing this walking tour as you get a different perspective when you have a local telling you about their city. Marietta showed great passion about her town.
Great tour guide who fully addressed our wishes. Just take a 6-hour option from the offer. Three to four hours is plenty; anything longer is too much.
