Dit eventyr begynder på vores private pier i Puerto Juárez. Ved ankomsten kan du nyde en let kaffepause, mens du møder din Vejleder og resten af gruppen. Før du går ombord, vil din Vejleder give dig en sikkerhedsinformering, forklare din dagsplan og dele nyttige tips til at svømme med hvalhajerne. Når alle er klar, er det tid til at gå om bord på båden og gå ud på jagt efter disse storslåede blide giganter.
Efter afgang fra vores private pier i Puerto Juárez, vil du sejle over de krystalklare turkisfarvede farvande i det mexicanske Caribien. Undervejs passerer du den smukke kystlinje på Isla Mujeres, inden du bevæger dig længere ud i havet, hvor havet forvandles til dybe, levende blå nuancer. Under rejsen skal du holde øje med delfiner, havskildpadder, stråler og havfugle, som ofte ses langs ruten. Når vi ankommer til hvalhaiområdet, vil kaptajnen og Vejlederen søge efter de bedste muligheder for at nærme sig disse storslåede dyr på en sikker måde, samtidig med at alle bevarelsesbestemmelser overholdes. Når det er din tur, vil du træde ind i vandet i par med din certificerede Vejleder for en uforglemmelig snorkling oplevelse ved siden af verdens største fisk. Vores udflugter i små grupper maksimerer dine chancer for at nyde op til to svømninger pr. person, afhængigt af havforhold, dyrelivsaktiviteter og parkbestemmelser. Mellem svømme, slappe af på båden og se den utrolige handling som hvalhajer, gigantiske manta stråler, og andre marine liv foder i krystalklare caribiske farvande. Dette er et virkelig unikt vildtmøde og en af de mest mindeværdige oplevelser den mexicanske Caribien har at tilbyde.
På vores sidste stop ankrer vi foran den verdensberømte Playa Norte strand fra Isla Mujeres. Dette idylliske sted er kendt for sit bløde hvide sand, krystalklare turkisblå vand og pulserende atmosfære. Vi deler en typisk caribisk frokost med lækker ceviche, cremet guacamole og sprøde totoposer. Bagefter kan du fejre dagen ved at vade i det lave, varme vand eller blot slappe af og nyde solen på den uberørte strand.

I had the most AMAZING time!! From the get go the whole experience was perfect and professional. Travel and booking was easy as well with the pick up and drop off being very smooth. The whole process was relaxing and very enjoyable. I especially loved our tour guide Vanessa who made our experience one of a kind. The amount of compassion and knowledge she has for the whale sharks and other sea life was enlightening and made the experience that much better that we knew we were following the correct rules and keeeping the sea life and ecosystems safe. The steps to get to the whale sharks and the schedule of the day was very well explained clearly and helped us to feel safe and got the most out of the trip. Vanessa was amazing in and out the water with us helping me to feel confident in the water and enjoy the experience so much more. Also her service was incredible making sure we felt comfortable with plenty of water, food and help protecting us from the sun. Her colleagues Dani, Gio and Esteban were also amazing and gave us incredible service. The drive to the pier was easy and stress free with snacks and water for the journey. The boat ride can be very bumpy and harsh if windy but our captain was very talented and steered the boat accordingly to the waves allowing our journey to be more comfortable! He also managed to give us a once in the lifetime opportunity by lining us up perfectly with the whale sharks without being too close and keeping everyone safe! The skipper was amazing in the water ensuring we found the whale sharks and kept the correct distance and kept alongside it. Lunch was delicious and fresh! We even managed to see mantarays and dolphins on the way back which was so special! Overall I would highly recommend this experience and booking with this tour group they are highly knowledgable about the environment and location which makes it even more special. Vanessa, Dani, Gio and Esteban were incredible and really made the trip for me so special!
What an amazing day! Our Guide Vanessa and colleagues Dani, Gio & Esteban were brilliant in every way! Our family had amazing multiple swims with the Whale Sharks and we also saw Manta Rays and a pod of Dolphins on the return trip! The passion and enthusiasm from the Ocean Tour Team shone through the whole day! We had lovely sandwiches and then stopped off at a lovely island and swam in blue waters and saw a Turtle afterwards we had an amazing Ceviche Lunch! We also saw flying fish so we couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day! Thank you! 😊

This was truly an experience that I will never forget! Swimming with whale sharks was absolutely incredible and something I’ll cherish forever. We were lucky enough to see manta rays as well! Our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Amazing experience. Vanessa was our guide and she was amazing. So much personality and knowledge. Very detailed explanation of the whales, the safety, the experience and I felt safe. Garo was an excellent driver and found us great spots to get in with the whales. The whole experience will be a lifetime memory as one I hope to experience again with my own kids and grandkids.

Overall disappointed with the trip. Our guide was fantastic but the main attraction was not a great experience. Amazing to see the whale shark but there were also 10 boats all on top of this one animal. Felt very rushed and dangerous in the water with so many people all on top of each other. I received several kicks to the face and was pushed under on several occasions by people all trying to get as close as they can to the animal. Very limited time in the water due to the amount of people surrounding the whale shark. Our guide noticed the dangers and was excellent at making sure we were as safe as possible under the circumstances. Snorkelling was also a bit of a let down. Reef wasn’t amazing and the sea was very difficult to snorkel in as it was very rough. Really strong currents pulling you. Wasn’t much wildlife underneath us. The stop at Isla Mujeres was okay. Not allowed to go onto the beach. Only float around near the boat while they make some lunch for you. Lunch wasn’t great. Overall the guide and boat crew were brilliant. Always checking if you are okay while travelling to the sites and if you needed anything. For the cost of the trip I expected a bit more and not 100s of people all crowding one animal.

As whale sharks are wild animals in their natural habitat, their location and number can vary greatly from day to day. When only a small number are present, several authorized boats may gather in the same area. There are regulations in place to manage these encounters, but we completely understand how uncomfortable the situation you described must have felt. Excellent in every way. Guides provided optimal opportunities for you to swim with these beautiful creatures. I went with my teenaged son and felt safe considering we’re in open sea. Great footage was provided too to make this a memorable experience.

This was by far the best experience ever! One for the bucket list. Our tour guide Pepe made the experience so enjoyable from pick up to drop off. His enthusiasm and passion was infectious, and he was so attentive and kind to everyone. It was the most incredible experience to swim alongside these beautiful creatures. They really are the gentle giants of the ocean. The trip was expensive but worth every penny. It was a full day, pick up 6.30am and back by 3.30pm, the schedule ran perfectly. Highly recommend!!!
