Vores halvdags tur afgår fra Swakopmund om morgenen eller eftermiddagen. På denne Welwitschia og månelandskabsrejse udforsker vi den stenige granitdal, kendt som "Månedalen", ca. 30 km øst for Swakopmund. Dette fantastiske landskab blev skåret ud af Swakop River over tid og byder på store, skiftende landskaber. Der skal udvises særlig forsigtighed for ikke at skade grusfladerne og forårsage unødig skade på økosystemet. Stoppe er vedvarende for at påpege alle funktioner af interesse, herunder ørkenen tilpassede planter og eventuelle små skabninger, der findes undervejs. Der tages stor omhu ved at dele viden med gæster på hver ørken dyr og plante, herunder vægt på særlige tilpasninger og perfekt design, der bruges til at overleve i ørkenen af hjælpelinjerne. Tuyeni is a very enthusiastic tour guide and did his best to make the experience memorable. Unfortunitely his personal non-Suv vehicle got him a ticket just as our tour started for being not road worthy, and also didnt permit him to go into the park to see the welwitchias, so we had to stick to the welwitchias next to the main road. His boot also openend at least 15 times during the trip for which we had to make regular pitstops. Since I was a solo female on this tour, I did feel unsafe because of this
Dear @Melanie_S Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly appreciate it. We would like to respectfully clarify a few points, as there seems to have been a misunderstanding. There was no ticket issued at the start of the tour. We simply passed through a routine police checkpoint, which is very common in the area. The vehicle was roadworthy and allowed to proceed. Regarding the park access, the limitation was due to the 4x4 not being engaged at the time, not because the vehicle was denied entry for compliance reasons. To ensure safety and avoid any risk, we chose the alternative Welwitschia sites along the main road, which are also well-known and frequently visited. Concerning the boot issue, we acknowledge this inconvenience and understand how it may have caused discomfort. We are sincerely sorry that this affected your sense of safety, especially as a solo female traveler. Guest comfort and safety are extremely important to us, and this feedback has been taken seriously to prevent a recurrence. Thank you again for your honest review.
