Vandtaxi Signal Island Turtle Tour for krydsere

Beskrivelse

Overall very good Apart from trying to get into the boats when leaving. Have to stand on a stool and lift yourself over, the staff of three two helped one boat and passengers had to help ppl getting into the boat which two ladies fell in the water The staff member was trying to hold the boat and the third member left in the other boat without helping 12 passengers to get in. Was very unprofessional that passengers had to help ppl getting Island lovely but this has turned me off booking again
Hello, Thank you for your feedback. However, it is important to understand that the weather conditions on that day were not normal. The wind was coming from an unusual direction, which created choppy conditions at the beach. Our crew did everything they could to ensure that passengers boarded the boats as safely as possible. We provided a step stool to help passengers board the boat independently. Under normal circumstances, this works well for almost everyone. Our team simply had to adapt to the unusual sea conditions caused by the wind. We are also surprised by your statement that two people fell into the water. The managers from Dal'Océan who were present that day confirmed that no one fell into the water. In fact, to the best of our knowledge, no passenger has ever fallen into the water during boarding or disembarkation in over 20 years of our company's operations. Unfortunately, weather conditions are beyond our control. When guests visit on a specific day, there can occasionally be more challenging conditions than usual. We always do our best to operate safely despite these circumstances. As for passengers helping one another during boarding, we see this as something completely natural. People are there to support each other, and when conditions are a little more challenging, mutual assistance is simply part of being on the water. We are sorry that this experience discouraged you from booking with us again. However, no one was injured, and helping fellow passengers during boarding is, in our view, both normal and sensible in a marine environment. Please remember that this is a sea-based activity. The ocean is a natural environment that can sometimes be unpredictable, despite all the precautions we take. While we do everything possible to ensure our guests' safety, there will always be a degree of adaptation required when taking part in activities on the water. Kind regards,
Wasn't too busy because it was July. The visibility was good, didn't matter too much for seeing turtles because they were easy to spot in the shallow clear water. The trip there and back was as much fun as the snorkelling
We were on a Carnival Cruise and shore excursions didnt cater for of 5 yr old. Book this excursion, easy to find at the port, well organised and run, speed boat bumpy but exciting - quickest way out to the island, saw as a family over 10 turtles and extremely safe.
A fun activity with great organisation! It is an easy way to see something different from Noumea and we were able to see turtles with very minimal effort.
This was an awesome experience, we saw heaps of fish and turtles. The crew were very accommodating and really made the day enjoyable.
Awesome tour well organised! The boat driver was fantastic and well experienced considering the swell. The island was beautiful. It was a fantastic day. loads of turtles!
Good experience. Very good boat driver in rough conditions.
,Great staff, see previous, they had to round up cruise ship people on the turtle side tour, plus us 2 from NZ who joined for the trip. Was rough water but great water taxi skipper.
I booked this tour, but unfortunately our cruise ship did not port in Noumea. I reached out via email regarding a refund, and the owner responded within minutes assuring I would be refunded. He even sent the refund slip. I would 100% book with this company if we are ever in Noumea again. Customer service was impeccable.
Thks for your Feed back
DO NOT BOOK through GET YOUR GUIDE!! This is listed as a cruise ship passenger tour, the ship couldn’t dock this morning due to dangerous conditions and a refund is being refused. The cancellation policy needs to be amended for these circumstances 😡😡😡 My advice is to book directly with the charter company as they would have issued a full refund and are now trying to assist with getting a refund processed from GetYourGuide!!
Hello, I do not really understand the reason for this comment. You are referring to a dispute with GetYourGuide, yet your review was posted on Viator. It is important to remember that GetYourGuide’s terms and conditions are specific to that platform and have no connection with Dal Ocean Charter. We are only the activity provider. When you book through GetYourGuide, you accept a contract and terms and conditions with GetYourGuide, not with Dal Ocean Charter. Therefore, when a dispute arises between a customer and the platform, it concerns only those two parties. However, the rating you gave us directly penalizes our company, even though we are not responsible for GetYourGuide’s terms and conditions. Despite this, we did everything we could to support your request with GetYourGuide. Also, as you do not mention in your comment, you eventually received your refund. We therefore believe that this review does not belong here, as it gives a negative image of our company even though we tried to help you. For those reading this comment, please simply note that our direct booking terms and conditions are often more flexible than those imposed by intermediary platforms. This is why booking directly with Dal Ocean Charter through our website is generally the simplest and most advantageous solution. I also notice that you seem to leave reviews about the companies you use. But what about the cruise ship company that transported you? Your cruise ship arrived in front of Nouméa harbour at around 7:30 a.m. and then decided not to dock, claiming unfavorable wind conditions. However, the conditions observed that day were completely normal. In fact, this is the type of wind we experience every day during summer in New Caledonia. The weather was good. We had local customers that day, and our boats went out normally to Signal Island. We have weather records, screenshots, and photos taken on site confirming that the conditions were good. To this day, no one seems to understand why the ship finally decided not to dock. I am in contact with the harbour master’s office, and even they are questioning this decision, as the ship was right in front of the harbour and no particular weather issue was observed. I therefore hope you will seek explanations from the cruise company, which is the reason your port call was cancelled and therefore, above all, the reason you were unable to take part in your excursion. Neither GetYourGuide, nor Viator, nor Dal Ocean Charter made that decision. It may be useful to try to understand the real reasons behind this cancellation rather than simply accepting the explanations given. So far, none of the 2 500 passengers seem to have taken any steps to obtain answers, even though everyone was there and could see the weather conditions for themselves. Sometimes it is important to separate fact from fiction before blaming the wrong people. I believe the cruise ship had other reasons for not allowing you to disembark and that the real reason has not been disclosed to any of us. In my opinion, those reasons are more likely to be financial in nature. Make of that what you will.
