Du møder din guide foran Vatikanets museer. Du kommer ind i Vatikanet, der til trods for at være et af de mindste lande i verden, huser et kompleks af museer, hvis værdi er svær at beregne. Først og fremmest vil du beundre Belvedere og Pigna (pinecone) gårdspladsen, så vil du sætte pris på Billedgalleriet. Det huser en forbløffende samling, der inkluderer Giotto, Perugino, Leonardo, Caravaggio, Dali ... umulig at beskrive på nogle få linjer! Følg din guide til de vigtigste udstillinger. Guiden vil fokusere på græske og romerske originaler, forskellige pavens lejligheder malet af mestre som Raphael. Lige vigtigt er de berømte gallerier af gobeliner, kandelabre og kort.
Den anden del af turen er den ikke-at-gå glip af attraktionen, det Sixtinske kapel, med det utrolige loft af Michelangelo og hans øverste mesterværk, den sidste dom. Mange andre scener er malet af de bedste italienske kunstnere, såsom Perugino, Botticelli, Ghirlandaio og andre mestre. Det vil være overraskende spændende at stå i midten af en sådan skønhed.

The private tour gave us the perfect opportunity to enjoy the wonders and splendor of the Vatican Musea in a more personal manner. Of course there are a lot of people around but this formula allows for a more relaxed experience. Our guide Massimo was very good with excellent knowledge of the many treasures on display in the magnificent hallways. Also his extensive knowledge about the history in general of the Vatican and the popes brought life to tour. He allowed us a private moment to enjoy the Sistine Chapel which was very nice for a Michelangelo fan such as myself.

Massimo was an excellent tour guide! Massimo’s breadth of knowledge about Vatican City as a whole elevated this tour experience beyond the vast knowledge he knows about the Museums. It is also important to point out that with being a private tour, he was able to curate an experience specifically to exactly what I was wanting to see. If I were to come back and do it all over again I would want Massimo to be my tour guide. Being a solo traveler having a one to one experience through Vatican City allowed me to appreciate a deeper love for the history that was involved. I cannot thank Massimo enough for one of the best experiences of my entire European Trip.
