The experience was beautiful. It is incredible to be so close to the little monkeys and see them free and happy. The guides are attentive, answer all the questions, are very kind, and explain everything. Additionally, the experience is very personalized, and each person in the group is able to enjoy the contact with the little monkeys to the fullest. The only thing that seemed expensive to me was the photos; it would be better if the experience itself cost a little more and the photos had a lower price. Everything else is beautiful.

The monkeys were an experience but started off bad from the beginning. We got a WhatsApp about time we were meeting we thought it was the barrier at the front of the hotel but it turned out to be at the front on the massive resorts as he can’t get through which is strange as most excursions pick up from front of hotel or lobby. We ended up needing to get a buggy as too far to walk in the heat with kids. When we got there our driver was parked up came over I said my details no not for you he said and sat back in the van with his air-con on and we sat on a bench at the front in boiling heat wondering if we were being picked up. The driver came back over and this time I looked at the paperwork and confirmed this was us and got on. Anyway still excited when we got there I wasn’t sure. As soon as you walk in they are trying to sell you over priced items from the shop onsite. $20 for a pineapple and really pushed this. At first I thought a pineapple juice would be in on the price seen as you are in the middle of nowhere in the heat with kids and paid over £200 for experience. My partner informed me this wasn’t the case as the board said $20 thank god I said no. So we couldn’t get a drink. Luckily we went prepared with drinks but everything including phone has to be lock away for 1st part for there photos and video to be taken. We loved seeing the monkeys they clearly ate well and coats were good but a few think were very strange with the company. A guy walked out with the keepers clearly knows everyone there at the ‘sanctuary’ and sat with us like he was joining the 6 of us for the experience. All was going good but hated seeing a monkey in a chain which they deny (necklace for anxiety) they said it won’t eat or sleep without it any monkey that has any tendency to bite and on a chain or wearing collar shouldn’t be taken anywhere near children or adults. No medical staff on site visible and handy little pack on wipes on the shop counter for any problems. There is a little squirrel monkey that wears a collar as he bites and because there are lots running everywhere from behind you don’t see the collar so could easily bite anybody. Which is dangerous. During pictures that they take, a monkey weed on my hand which I know it’s an animal and it can happen but they didn’t inform us that this could happen as would of brought some kind of change of clothes. It’s weed all down my partners back and hat. After the pics they take, we went to a nice area out the back and got to sit down with the moneys and take our own pictures this was good as we wouldn’t of had anything otherwise from the experience. I did see a parrot at the back of the house because we looked at the pictures on here when booking we thought we might see parrots too but not included but most of the monkeys were sweet ! A little riled up at times. Monkeys were biting each other. I only booked as thought would be quieter than the main monkey place as my daughter has autism and would be better but she loved it and did amazing with them obviously as a 7 year old doesn t see it all going on just sweet monkeys. So it came to an end and we got taken in an office room shown a video they make and lots of pictures and charge you the same as what you’ve paid to get in for them and more! The ask about cash first and we only carry card so you could see them change because it’s wasn’t cash and a quick transaction. I was willing to pay the amount for memories for the family but their card reader didn’t work because of connection being in middle of nowhere. I tried 2 cards a few times my kids were waiting around hot whilst he’s holding the machine in the air. I don’t get how the machine didn’t work, I connected to there WiFi straight away to move money over. When it didn’t work we were asked to try PayPal which we refused to start messing around with so they ask about driving us to a bank nearby this is a British family off 4 (2 kids) in the middle of nowhere with strangers this is our driver they said he could come to your hotel tomorrow for the money and email them over and at this point we had be trying for 30 mins or more and had enough was becoming not a nice situation especially with my children there and with me panicking about it not working. I don’t want any other family to waste their money. This is all to line there pockets it’s not all for the monkeys and a ‘sanctuary’. False advertising there. Unfortunately this ruined the whole experience at the end and the father and son we were with also couldn’t get the pictures because of the cost. Please don’t use this place especially if you are taking children to Dominican stick to other trusted tour places/operators here is a completely different kind of company. Also to the ladies that watch the guys do the experience and work but only get involved when they wanted money at the end the only reason this got heated was because of your card reader. If your going to carry on this business as all you see is $$$ you are going to need to take a step up with technology regarding payments as not many people carry money nowadays and you don’t inform people beforehand to bring cash so can’t get like that if they only have card. You are the ones losing out this wasn’t our fault. Very intimidating way to end. Was told I’d get a WhatsApp about pics heard nothing. It’s sad they also responded to my family members review online saying we were blackmailing them and good stay in your hotel and nobody wants you to visit, not very nice. We were completely at there peril. This was supposed to be an amazing family day out for us all. Also weirdly on the very frustrated drive back to hotel the driver offered to go to a chocolate place after all that saying it’s included. We just wanted to get back to hotel. PLEASE DONT BOOK! READ ALL REVIEWS AS THIS IS NOT 5*! Shame on trip advisor as misleading.

Monkey House was wonderful with lots of opportunities to play with some adorable monkeys. They had four different species and everyone had a chance to play, feed and interact with everything. The staff was very attentive with questions and making sure everyone felt comfortable at all times. We were able to play with the monkeys for over two hours and had a chance to look at some of the professional pictures they rook. Wonderful experience I will always remember!

Monkey House VIP was a highlight of our trip to Punta Cana! So many cute monkeys that are so friendly and playful and lots of opportunities to interact with them. The staff was super nice and knew so much about the monkeys, felt like I learned a lot while we were having fun. The monkeys also seem really happy, they leave the gate to the sanctuary open and the monkeys, birds, and other animals on site all just hang out inside.

Absolutely amazing experience at Monkey House in Punta Cana! The whole visit was so well organised and you can genuinely see how much care and love the team has for the monkeys. It felt really ethical and the animals looked happy, relaxed and well looked after. A special mention to Leonel and the team who made the experience even better. He took the most amazing photos for us and was so friendly and helpful throughout. You can tell he really enjoys what he does and made everyone feel comfortable and welcome. One of the highlights of our trip and such lovely memories to look back on. Highly recommend to anyone

It was wonderful experience with the monkeys. My daughter and I really enjoyed our time.

Monkeyland was a phenomenal experience!!! I loved how each trainer handled the monkeys with care, had fun with the monkeys, interactive with the guests and the monkeys roamed freely. Shout out to the trainer named Roberson! All the trainers were exceptional. The whole experience was great. The only thing I would mention is the picture package is expensive. That’s the only downfall. Rather than that I had a great time!

Brayan was phenomenal with our experience, teaching us about the different monkeys. Great experience 👌🏼
