Lyle’s knowledge of plants and vegetation was amazing. Different foods we tasted were delicious. Pickup point was difficult to figure out and nowhere to wait if you arrived early.

This should really be called a Botany tour not a food tour. Our tour guide was lovely and very knowledgeable about the local plants, fruit and vegetable trees BUT our tour did not match the description of the village food tour. We did not make 5 stops ( we made 2) and we were no where near Charleston but in a smaller village a couple miles outside of Charleston. The experience did not provide a good value for the cost. Perhaps $50 would be more appropriate.

It seems there may have been a mix-up with the description of our Charlestown Walking Tour, which includes five stops in the heart of town. Our Village Food Tour, however, offers a more intimate, countryside experience—focusing on authentic local flavors and the traditional way of life in one of our smaller authentic villages. The animals were wonderful. I also loved the detailed descriptions and explanations of all the plants, fruits, and herbs. Very informative and our tour guide Lyle was great, as was the little eatery/shop at the end of the tour. 5 stars!
We learned so much about the amazing abundance that is Nevis. Our walk through the family farm was joyful. What a lovely day.
We loved walking around with Lyall and Learning about all the local plants and fruits. Particularly interesting with seeing all of the different animals he keeps and tends to. We eat at a couple of local snack, shacks, and tried some local drinks. All in all, it was fun, informative, and a great way to experience local culture.
The most memorable part of this tour was meeting Greg! His enthusiasm for teaching us about Nevis made the experience even better. The island is beautiful and a different experience from ST Kitts. Give Greg and NST a call.

The tour guide did not show up for the tour. There was no notification of the cancellation and no response to the multiple messages I sent (at the time the tour was to start, 15 minutes after the scheduled time, and 30 minutes after the scheduled time) until several hours after the tour. I also called the listed phone number as did a local taxi driver, but there was no answer. This was very disappointing as I booked my trip to St. Kitts and Nevis to be sure I was on Nevis on Tuesday so I could join this tour. I have not yet received a refund for this tour either which the guide said she would address. Very unsatisfactory from both the tour company and Viator (with whom I have had many excellent experiences).
