Beskrivelse

Buen Provecho!

Great tour with plenty of tasters

Great walking tour through 4 districts in Bogota involving plenty of tastings of food and drink and a couple of local games. Our guide Juliana was great - very friendly, knowledgeable and told us the origins of all the different foods. Great 4 hour tour at a reasonable price. Recommended.

Must Do Tour

Andre was the sweetest and perfect host. He navigated the tasting spots with ease providing valuable gastronomy information along the way. He provided history around the foods we tried. He was funny also. I enjoyed that we linked up with other travelers and it was intimate enough to feel seen and cared for. He is definitely passionate about food and what he does to educate other.

Incredible food tour

Excellent tour. We had so much food. We were very full by the end of the tour. The tour guide was brilliant - they gave us so many amazing facts and insights into history and food as we went along. The tour lasted 4 hours and was great value for how much was included. Great way to start our holiday.

Great experience. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide was Andres. He was very knowledgeable about food, history of Colombia, and culture. He was generous with his time and attention. The tour was not rushed and we gave plenty of time to each dish and drink we had. We went to a variety of places that we would not have found being on our first visit: enclosed authentic food market, hole in the wall food place, small local bar, a unique artisanal coffee place, a very popular bakery off a main walking street. All but one of the places we went we were the only foreigners (well, non-Spanish speakers). I highly recommend this tour for a taste of a variety of authentic Colombian foods and drinks with a lot of history and cultural context. Some specifics. Andres communicated with us via WhatsApp, he was on time, the tour went longer than advertised 4 hours which we thoroughly enjoyed! We booked about a week in advance in early July. Everywhere we went Andres knew somebody, true local. Andres was very accommodating to some of us trusting to pick up a bit more Spanish on the way. We covered several neighborhoods walking between places.

Juliana was great.

Juliana was a great host. It was fun, entertaining, and filling. The food was great and the variety was vast. The host also included a few fun games. You can also buy extra food and drinks while on the tour. It was 4 hours. It wasn’t too much walking. No complaints at all.

Excellent experience

Andrés, our guide was amazing. He gave us great history about everything from the food to the locations. He was well prepared and had all the extra supplies we needed. All the stops were ready for us and the variety was excellent. Would recommend to anyone if they come to Bogota. Come hungry because I was stuffed afterwards.

Knowing Colombia through their food and history

Doing this food tour on our very first day in Bogotá was the best. It completely took the pressure off figuring out what to do after landing and gave us a great introduction to the city's food, sights, and history right away. Our guide, Juliana, was wonderful. She felt more like a knowledgeable friend than a tour guide, friendly, and always happy to share stories about Colombia. Coming from Brazil, our cuisines share some similarities, but the Colombian dishes brought a lot of unique flavors and spices that we really enjoyed. The buñuelos were great, we loved the lechona (the pork and rice dish) and the coffee of course. The tour is about 4 hours, and it has a lot of food, so don't get excited right on the first stop, save some space. Highly recommend booking this tour. Huge thanks to Juliana for such a warm welcome to the country!

Experience Bogota through food and culture.

Loved this tour. Loved Andres. A leisurely paced walk through many neighborhoods, outside the tourist hubs, tasting a variety of food, drinks, fruit, and snacks. A great way to experience the street vibe of Bogota (we did this on a Sunday). Great explanations about the food we sampled and about Bogota history. We would not have found these local spots on our own. A great way to meet travel friends, enjoy conversation, and a game of tejo at the end. Worth the price. I definitely recommend.
