Via Ferrata / Rappel Adventure i East Zion

We did the Tallest Via Ferrata in Utah with Zage as our instructor and this experience far surpassed my expectations. Zage was an incredible instructor he made my husband and I feel confident in our skills.

We had an oppotunity to spend the day with the team at ROAM participating in Via Ferrata, Sand Boarding, UTV and hike at Peek-a-boo canyon. We have spent time with tour operators all over the world and the team at ROAM was by far the best experience of all. They were prompt, professional and most of all encouraging to all in our group of 7. We all participated in new experiences and attempted challenging activities. The team was supportive and encouraging the entire day and we all felt super accomplished. The equipment was top notch and made the day perfect. We recommend ROAM to anyone looking to experience all southern Utah has to offer.

We had a great time on the Via Ferrata with Matt and Clayton! The tour is so fun and doable for kids. Our 10 year old son had a blast! Thanks for a great time!

We were at Zion and had heard amazing stories of ROAM. One of the most fun experiences I’ve ever done, pushing myself to new limits but nothing that was too difficult to do. Rob was an amazing tour guide helping us along the way and we had the adventure all to ourselves. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

We booked the 3 hour Via Ferrara tour in Orderville as a fun morning stop en route between Bryce and Zion. Our kids (9 and 12) are thrill seekers and could have easily conquered the 4 hour tour (and wanted to!) but my 44 year old self thought the 3 hour version was the right amount! You scale two cliffs using the steel bar, cable and carabiner system which is simple and safe enough but there were two “spicy” points that definitely pushed my limits. The two sections of rappelling down was fun and easy. One of the best parts was our fun tour guide Coleman who not only has been working for ROAM for 8 years but grew up playing on these very mountainsides!

The experience was great- the via was in good condition, gear was clean and well maintained and guides were passionate about climbing and knowledgeable. However, we were in a very large group so it would have been better if there had been some explanation about technique with the rappel, especially since I ended up getting reprimanded for knocking some loose rocks on my way down. There was also some confusion about availability of water at the halfway point of the Via. Would definitely work with this crew again.

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent Via Ferrata excursion with Tyler as our guide. My son is an avid rock climber, but this was our first experience with Via Ferrata. Tyler gave us background on Via Ferrata, great conversation, and, as one of the designers, excellent guidance along the course. We would eagerly do it again through ROAM and highly recommend Tyler as a guide. A memorable experience with a fantastic view!

Loved the Via Ferrata! Our guide Tyler was so kind and knowledgeable. He was amazing with our kids and he took amazing pics of our family on this super cool experience! It was such a neat experience to top off our time in Zion!

Fantastic tour!!! We had an amazing time and can’t recommend the tour enough! The guides were great. Even better, there was rain predicted on our day, so they texted two days ahead asking if we had an opportunity to reschedule so we were able to move it up a day! Honestly we were not paying attention to the weather predicted two days away and would have been so bummed to miss it. It was great they thought ahead to make sure we had our tour! The guides were great with our 4 kids, ages 7,9,9,13. They had such a good time we are planning another repel adventure before we leave!
