Our tour guide from Meet the Locals knew all of the highlights at Versailles and how to navigate us through the crowds. I especially appreciated her traveling with us to Versailles on the train. If we had to get there on our own, my family would surely have gotten lost and been fighting by the time we arrived. Our tour guide made the trip so smooth and was delightful to chat with on the train rides for our two teens and us parents. She was knowledgeable about French history and culture and was SO normal in the best sense of the word! She gave us great tips aboiut places we planned to visit on our own, too. Meet the Locals was a top notch company from the initial communication while planning, to the organized itinerary to the tour guide we used for three different tours while in Paris. Everything was perfection and we would definitely use them again.

We had a wonderful tour with our guide, Nathalie. We have two teenagers and an 11 year old. She read the ages of the children and kept them engaged the entire time. This is a beautiful palace and you could easily spend days there, but she hit the main spots, gave us freedom to explore and was very knowledgeable. We were slightly late due to a mishap, and also stayed after to watch the fireworks. She helped us buy our return train ticket, showed us where to go, accommodated our late arrival, and made sure to navigate everything with a high level of service. I highly recommend this team and Nathalie. Great visit!
Sonia was absolutely fantastic. She was kind and very engaging. She was good at tailoring the tour based on our kids' interests. We had a really great time on the tour and learned a ton! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone with kids. Without this tour, we would have been overwhelmed and the kids would probably have been bored and complained a lot!

Booking our tour was so easy and accommodating. By taking the tour with Doina I feel we recall a lot more of the magic of Versailles and this period in history. Doina’s knowledge of Versailles and French history meant our questions could be answered and the handy workbook for the kids meant they took home a special memento of their visit. Thanks to having a dedicated guide we have some very special family photos to remember the visit. We visited on a Sunday and the lines weren’t too bad but still very handy to be able to skip these on a hot day with little people.

Three generations of my family enjoyed a wonderful trip from Paris to Versailles under the guidance of Yaëlle from Meet the Locals for Families. Her knowledge of local history, combined with her love of sharing that history, made for a wonderful afternoon. She did not rush her tour, and customized the timeline to accommodate feedings, breaks for the kids, and coffee for Grampa. The tour started on the train, utilizing the time to educate the adults on the timelines for Versailles and to entertain the children with activity books. We are still talking about it 3 weeks later. I would highly recommend Yaëlle as she did a wonderful job.

We have used Meet the locals several times over the last few years, including the Versailles Tour, the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, and the Tower of London. This latest trip, we did the Tour of London with Manuella, and Versailles with Laurine. Both tours (And our guides) were amazing. Manuella and Laurine made the entire experience fun and educational for our girls (Who are 8 and 10) (And the parents!) - they were just incredible. Every single experience we have had with Tour by Locals has been phenomenal. They are absolutely the best! If you are traveling to London or Paris you absolutely need to book a tour with Meet the Locals!

Prior to our arrival, our communication from Thomas was so friendly, organised and prompt. Can highly recommend Laurine who took us on all our multiple tours. She was always prompt, engaging, helpful and really put us all at ease. The kids listened attentively to everything she had to share with them versus being completely deaf when I told them anything of interest! Each tour had a little booklet with activities they had to complete to reinforce their learning. Despite learning so much, they were having fun the entire time. Can highly recommend the trip out to Giverny and Monet’s Garden. This was a highlight of our trip. Visited this in the morning and Versailles in the afternoon. Laurine would accompany us for everything, but left us for lunch after walking us to wherever we chose to go. This was nice to have some family time on our own as well. Thanks Meet the Families and in particular Laurine, for a wonderful time!

Can't say enough good things about Christelle and our tour of Versailles. Just wonderful. Made the whole experience so much better having her to guide and inform us, and she did great with our 10 year old son, keeping him entertained and learning on the RER and during the visit. It was a highlight of our time in France.

What a great day this was! Our communication in booking and with all of my questions was super easy and they responded immediately. We took our family of 3 on the Versailles Palace tour and we had the most amazing guide, Laurine. She is a local and had such a great rapport with our almost 7-year-old boy. She was kind, engaging, and knowledgeable. Laurine answered our questions and kept the tour interesting from the train ride until the very end. Laurine also kept it fun for my husband and me. She used supplemental materials to help us understand the history and stories she told. She knows so much about Versailles and she was most impressive. We felt like we were talking to a friend. Not stuffy and she was incredibly easy to understand (accents can be tricky on other tours). I would, without a doubt, use this company again.
