Vandring til Mystic Nisagala Canyon

Nisagala village is one of the mountain villages that has recently been visited by tourists for its tourism potential. A branch of the Vilesh River flows through its territory, and along the river there are seven waterfalls. The paths to six of the waterfalls are not accessible, and one can only reach one of them by moving through the river itself. In particular, the Nisagala Canyon and its waterfall are frequently visited by both local and foreign hiking enthusiasts. The Nisagala Canyon consists of two parts — the upper part and the lower part of the canyon. Locals call the upper part of the canyon Yardimli’s Cıdır Plain. In the lower part of the canyon, there is a hiking trail of about 1 km leading to the waterfall.

As usual when visiting a new country, we looked for a local agency that not only caters to foreigners but also targets locals. We found Kampinist, and it worked perfectly. It was a slow, undemanding hike with no rush, off the beaten track of mass tourism, with lunch served in a local villager's home. We were picked up outside Baku, near Qobustan, on the way. Highly recommended.

The trip was very interesting, visitors who joined the tour were friendly even though most of them didn’t know each other before. We had a delicious meal in the afternoon too. It would be better if you go late spring and summer time to see more green space.

It was the most mystical and wonderful tour among the hikes I did in Azerbaijan. both the hospitality and the food were superb. The hiking trail was amazing. I felt like I was in Bali.

I took all the pictures you see in Yardimli, Nisagala. It may be the most miraculous view of nature I have ever seen in my life. And, of course, the reason it remains so beautiful in my mind is that I went with Kampinist. It was a great adventure. The fact that the weather was first sunny and then foggy explained why it was named Mystic Canyon. It was a very interesting and safe trip with experienced guides. The meals that followed almost made us forget the feeling of tiredness
