Vandring i vulkanen Iztaccihuatl

I had a great day on this hike. It was one of the few to the Itza-Popo national park available to solo travellers, and I was grateful to be able to join a group for this adventure. Everything for the day was sorted by Carlos and his colleagues, from pick up in Puebla, to a stop for snacks (though some food is provided), the route and an optional more challenging extension, which I did. We got fab views of Popocatépetl (including a few erruptions), and our guides were great about pointing out interesting features along the way. They also made sure that everyone was comfortable with the altitude and pace, with regular check ins and adapting the route as needed. I had such a great time, I joined them a few days later to go up Malinche too! The two mountains are very different -- this one is a less steep route but being in the shadow of Popacatépetl is magical.

We had a great time with Carlós hiking in the Itztacciihuatl National Park. A few days before the hike Carlós contacted us to arrange where and when he would pick us up, which he did as planned on time. We were a small group of just 3 people. During the whole hike, Carlós took great care of us, putting safety first. Which was very important, as the weather was not very good. I am very happy that we did the extra 3 km, as we were rewarded with a great descent along a waterfall. I was a bit afraid because of the hike at high altitude, but Carlós walked in very good pace, regularly asking how we were doing. At no time did I feel unsafe. Also, he is very well informed about the area, history, nature and overall a good sport and nice to talk to. Thank you very much for this exerience.

We had a wonderful day with Carlos Ivan! He picked us up directly at our accommodation and we still had the opportunity to get a few snacks and coffee on the way. The hike was spectacular and Carlos always kept a great eye on all of us. The pace was perfect for getting used to the altitude! We decided to go up to 4200m and had a lovingly prepared lunch at the top. We felt safe at all times and would do the tour again anytime. Thank you for this unforgettable day!

Great hike. The guides consistently check in to make sure everyone is feeling well and drinking water, and they're very friendly. The drive it has a pretty bumpy road for a few miles at the end, but I expect that with any hike.

This tour was great. Gustavo was a great guide and took care of all the logistics of traveling to and from the mountain. We also met up with another tour led by Mario on the mountain. Both guides are great and ensured that the hike was comfortable. As a mostly English speaking tourist, I can say that Hiking Puebla made the mountain very easy to reach and is definitely worth hiring for your hiking adventures. 100% would book with them again.

We had a great hike with Mario. He led a good pace up the mountain, not too slow or fast. He is very passionate about nature and leading hikes. Highly recommend!

Carlos is a great and humorous guide. We had a fun time exploring the volcanos and he gave us some background knowledge about the area, history and nature.

Great tour with Carlos! He met us the night before to review plans and discuss the route and equipment. I enjoyed meeting him ahead of time and hanging out at the hostel, which is in a great and beautiful neighborhood of Puebla. Speed was great, information helpful and great snacks too! I felt safe the entire time.

Had a great hike up La Malinche with Carlos. Easy to organise, they provided a helmet and poles, food and water. Fun day and beautiful scenery!
