Vancouver: Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Tour på dobbeltdækker bus

To make the story short: did three stops and waited for the next bus 40-60 min every single time , with kids … so the question is : how many buses they had on a line ??????

It was good. My only recommendation would be to call out the number of the stop. I ride hop on hop off buses when I travel and this was the first time/place the actual number of the stop was not identified. Hard to follow exactly where you were

I have been on many hop on hop off tours round the world but this experience was a first for me .Sherry ( as in the Spanish wine) was our driver and actually did the commentary as we toured round Vancouver It was the very best tour description I’ve ever had. Sadly she had to leave for her lunch break and we continued with the pre recorded version which whilst informative was no way a patch on what we had experienced with Sherry. A typical tour made very special by Sherry.

We arrived in Vancouver BC on late Wednesday, July 8. I always seek a hop off hop on tour to get my bearings in a new city and we started exploring the city the next morning. I am giving this a low grade because the first bus driver never spoke or gave us any commentary as we toured Vancouver for the first time. The automated audio was are only source of reference. In addition neither the driver nor the audio tour announced the number of the stop just the location. This makes it hard for someone not familiar with the area to follow especially if they skip a stop because of construction. More frustrating was the audio was not in sync with the sites they did describe. The audio would mention a building or historical site before or after we passed it. Again the driver remained silent the entire tour. Although there was an online notice of construction areas, they didn’t identify the number of the stops affected by the closure. We walked several blocks to reach stop #9 only to discover the stop was closed because of street construction for the World Cup. We then had to walk several blocks to locate an opened stop. We even followed the buses on the app. The only reason I didn’t rate this experience a 1 was because a driver named Spencer was great. He repeated the upcoming stop number as well as provided additional historical or valuable insights regarding the areas we visited. This is what I was accustomed to from visiting other cities. Management needs to have Spencer train other drivers how to do it right.

Avoid this. Very expensive for a not very good or timely city bus. You csn essily wsit over 30 minutes for a bus. Much chesper to use Uber or cabs.

We were in town during World Cup. Half of the stops were closed and we were not provided any information from provider prior so waited in China Town and ended up having to walk to GasTown. My mother was using a walker in the rain. Was unclear where the other pick up locations were as you would arrive and bus would just drive by rather than stop and wait for passengers. Was scheduled for twilight tour even though was not available due to world cup and not refunded on this once requested from tour operator. Our driver had severe allergies and was coughing/sneezing every 30 seconds for an hour. Ridiculous price for this excursion. Would not recommend. Also would avoid Westcoast sightseeing as they are the same company.

Hop on Hop Off bus was an excellent option to see Vancouver! Bus ticket was reasonable, plus had a number of stops that offered many local attractions. We only had one full day to see Vancouver and the bus provided the perfect opportunity to travel for one price all over the area. Tour guides were knowledgeable and the bus was never overly full. View from the top deck of the bus was excellent.

We generally love Hop On Hop Off buses in cities we've traveled to but the one in Vancouver was too many tall high-rise buildings and not enough key points that I wanted to see. We were very disappointed and we would not recommend this trip in Vancouver it's better to just get a taxi to one of the parks or Granville Island or Steveston Wharf which we loved to spend time at both of these areas!

First bus used a recording which was completely off from what you saw. Second bus was driven by Sherry. She was awesome!!! Knowledgeable and funny! Try to get her bus! Worth it!

Tour is good. Visits many important sites. Could have had more buses today. Driver Sherry gets a 5+ for lively , helpful commentary. Another driver only played the recorded message.
