Erika was a fantastic guide for our family of five tour. We communicated with the company, Travel Assist Japan, over several weeks to customize our tour. The fashionistas in our family loved the stops in Harajuku, Takeshita and Cat Streets, and Omotesando and Erika gave us time to explore. Our anime fan loved visiting Jumpshop, Pokeman and Nintendo at Shibuya Parco. Erika's pick of Osaka Kitchin for lunch accommodated our vegetarians and seafood allergies. We loved our stop at Shibuya Crossing were Erika took our family's favorite impromptu photo of the trip!
Thank you so much for your great review. It is our source of energy. Feel free to let us know if you have another chance.
Fantastic day seeing essential neighborhoods on our "list". From modern art to Japanese traditional crafts emporium to high street to trendy we saw and (even shopped) it all! We opted for the subway/walking/taxi version to do it like a local which was so much fun and helped orient us to the city and getting around. Typical "fast-food" ramen lunch was delicious and fun! Our guide, Tracy (Toshi) was excellent, thoughtful and really great to spend the day with and we will definitely look forward to another opportunity to have her guide us again. I highly recommend this tour and Tracy. We had not been shy about setting out on our own but this tour really gave us the flavor of where and how we will spend some days digging deeper into art and fashion in Tokyo.
The tour guide is good, speaking much better English than other Japanese. I spent 8 days in Tokyo and visited several sites. Overall experience is pretty good. But one thing needs to improve, especially in regards to the upcoming Olympic game: English! I feel painful to communicate with taxi drivers, train station staff and local family mart staff in English. Also when I was at The Sky Tree and Disney Sea, some staff couldn’t or wouldn’t answer my questions in English. This will be a big issue during Olympic period. Hotel staff are general fine.
