Great experience for the family. We did something similar in Tokyo, but it was more formal where we watched the train. This is much more family friendly because we had seat to sit at and it was interactive. The food was very plentiful! Ryusuke help us with the tour and he was excellent!

This was honestly one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The whole experience felt authentic, fun, and surprisingly personal. Getting to sit up close and watch former sumo wrestlers demonstrate techniques — then actually try them yourself — was unforgettable. The wrestlers were hilarious, super friendly, and made everyone feel comfortable (even if you had no clue what was happening at first). The chanko nabe (sumo hot pot) was delicious and filling — hearty but healthy. We also got to take photos with the wrestlers afterward, and they were so kind and patient with everyone. It wasn’t touristy in a cheesy way; it really felt like a window into sumo culture, with a good balance of humor and respect for the sport. If you’re visiting Japan, definitely book this. It’s one of those rare experiences that makes you appreciate the culture even more — and it’s fun for all ages. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Awesome experience, loved every minute. Great to learn the rules & history of sumo in a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere. All the staff were so engaging. Yes this is for tourists, but teaches us about this wonderful craft. The food was delicious, I couldn’t fault anything. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Super tourist and commercial show. Total turn-off. Far too expensive and excessive showmaking. Big disappointment.

I can't say how much fun we had as a family in a group of 12 friends and family members. The sumo wrestling was pretty short to be honest. However it was 100% interactive you're even allowed to play wrestle with the sumo wrestlers which makes a great photo experience, anyone who wanted to participate was encouraged to do so and there was no rushing you could have 1 million pictures if you wanted. We paid a little bit over $100 but it was worth every single penny I'll have to say this event is not truly in Osaka it is at the bottom tip of Osaka near the outlet malls so if you're coming from Kyoto it's a long journey almost 2 hours away The other thing I didn't care for as an Asian person or as a foodie was that the food was terrible. This is simply my opinion as five of my friends were vegetarians and they loved the food. Please don't get me wrong because the sumo experience itself and the sumo wrestlers, games, and the activities totally made up for any kind of shortcoming so I would say just plan to have a meal or bring a light snack before you go in and you'll be fine. Booking here on Viator I was not able to skip the meals I know other booking websites allowed you to pay for a meal or skip the meal I would say skip the meal it is pretty much watered down soup. Again, the sumo experience interactiveness games and photo ops is a once in a lifetime opportunity and you have to do it. My kids actually said it was the most favorite thing to do in Japan

Awful, terrible, childish, overpriced show. The food was very greasy. Do not bother with this. Hugely disappointing.

I joined the tour aiming to experience Sumo and I didn’t fail! This is an interactive experience for you to learn about their diet and their fight rules. You can actually fight with them toward the end of the tour. I saw some people came with family and friends and would say this is a friendly activity for people at all age and gender. Sumo-san are so nice and kind and can speak English. Also, the tour includes cycling around the old town of Izumisano, which happens to be a nice neighborhood. Highly recommend!

The experience was very dynamic and interactive. It started off with an introduction to sumo, with the sumo wrestlers demonstrating their workout routines, the basics of sumo, the rules, etc. I was able to learn a lot, and it was very fun and informative. After that is 3 rounds of sumo wrestling, which was very thrilling and exciting. The best part is the sumo wrestling experience in the end. All the wrestlers were super strong, fun, and friendly. They can even spin you several rounds in the air. It was truly unforgettable!

We had an excellent time! The staff was great, the Sumo wrestlers were amazing. This unique show is entertaining and engaging. We would definitely attend this event again when we are in Osaka.
