Thank you Leigh for a wonderful afternoon. You curated an experience that we would not have been able to do on our own. While the experience was for my 19 year old daughter ( with very specific taste), I too was able to walk away with one of a kind finds. Our time with you sailed by and we enjoyed every minute. I was pleasantly surprised to reach 8000 steps doing our time together: shopping, great company and exercise! We will certainly look you up when we return.
I really enjoyed the vintage shopping tour with Leigh. She tailored the tour to hit shops that carried the items I was ideally looking for-- vintage t-shirts, jackets and Levis. The tour was approximately 3 hours and we hit 10+ shops... I lost count, likely due to the ginja shot (saúde). It was great and I appreciated the insight into the vintage scene and Lisboa.
Leigh was SO lovely and gave great fashion advice!! We found some pieces that were EXACTLY what I was looking for!! She did an awesome job :)
What an adventure we had!! Dodging rain and wind one minute to soaking up the beautiful sun the next as we meandered from shop to shop! Leigh was a patient and knowledgeable guide, sharing experiences and expertise while I perused the racks and shelves searching for those “ah ha” finds. Absolutely lovely morning of shopping and chatting about life and Lisbon. Wear comfortable shoes, easy clothes for trying on your “finds” and remember to bring a reusable bag.. preferably waterproof in the winter months! Thank you, Leigh for taking such excellent care of me!

Our Viator guide was pleasant & very knowledgeable about the area. 1//Leigh’s speciality centers in the most tourist saturated area of Lisbon. We communicated several times before our tour, I gave our guide a clear point of reference (Peggy Guggenheim) while remaining broad in scope..The first store was U.S. sweatshirts, jersey shirts, men’s overcoats etc. a quick in and out. Second store-a little better,more of the same. I felt awkward that the store owner stayed open for our appointment, I made a mercy purchase so we could get on our way. Leigh did tell me the owner keeps a much more inventory in the back- but that was just for his online store, it felt bad to hear this. 3rd,4th & FIFTH store-same things, just more generic relabels. Bad secretary blouses, baggy 80’s cocktail dresses.the exact same sunglasses,belts, in every store. I asked Leigh several times for a store with different, unique items. Each store was devoted to a carbon copy American trend. I had so looked forward to this tour, after- we confirmed… more of the same.I hididn't see the point of continuing & ended the tour. Leigh was pleasant, knowledgable & had great energy. Before the tour I communicated “Peggy Guggenheim style” very clearly. Unfortunately, Leigh never heard of her before & this was the best vintage Lisbon had to offer vintage wise. A 3 minute google search before hand, given MAC/CCB had her 31 Women exhibition earlier this year, would have made a world of difference. This was our first Viator tour(See the city as a local!) plus- Leigh had great reviews. I felt like precious time and money were wasted.
Please ignore this review if you love vintage shopping and thrifting. As you can see from the other reviews, guests truly love this tour, and I love hosting them. Previously, I haven't received any negative feedback on this tour, and I wouldn't continue to offer them if guests didn't love them. This two-star review was from a tired, jet-lagged, and rude guest. Her husband even apologized for how exhausted she was. They also started the tour drinking Red Bull energy drinks. She booked the tour, probably looking for antiques or art. She NEVER clearly communicated what she was shopping for when I asked her before, and also several times during the tour. She obviously wasn't used to vintage shopping or a true fan of vintage fashion. It’s not at all uncommon for vintage shops in all major cities in the world to carry a selection of American brands. The shops we visited also had a mix of European brands and many different categories. This guest was too tired to take a proper look. Also, her tour date was close to Christmas, and I expressed that it was not possible to visit other shops not on our tour route that were further away, as they were closed. Also, she was clearly mistaken or intentionally being dishonest in her review of her claim regarding the second shop we visited. I NEVER said the shop stayed open just for us. We arrived at the shop at 5:11 p.m. - the shop closes at 8 p.m. So, no, the shop did not stay open for us to shop. When we entered the shop, I jokingly said we had a private shopping experience because it was empty when we arrived. But other customers soon entered the shop. The tour times are based on the opening and closing schedules of the shops. In no way did I make her feel pressured to buy. She purchased a scarf because she liked it. I have absolutely no reason to make anyone feel pressured to buy anything at any of the shops we visit. Again, this guest never specified what she was shopping for, and gave a reference that was not at all clear and made no sense to any of the shops I shared it with. She also ended the tour early, hardly browsing in any of the shops we did visit. Lisbon vintage shops are full of American and European brands, as well as several different categories that differ depending on where we are in the season and the shops' current buying habits/inventory flows. So on this tour, you will find some shops with a mix of American brands and American streetwear because it's highly sought after and sells well. But shops also carry a mix of other categories and items, so there is something for everyone if you take the time to look or ask for help with what you're looking for. I've been doing these tours for years and selected the shops we visit on this route because they are some of the oldest and highest rated in Lisbon and have something for everyone. Also, the location is very convenient for most, as other vintage shops are much further away and not easy to reach on foot. As for this review title, NO, Google is not a good tool for discovering vintage shops in Lisbon, that is actually what inspired me to start this tour. New shops are not on Google, and older shops close or move. I help shoppers navigate vintage stores in Lisbon and find what they are looking for if they are shopping for something in particular. Otherwise, the guests who are vintage or thrift lovers thoroughly enjoy visiting and discovering the shops on this route. Tours tend to last over our three-hour time period, and people find vintage pieces they love. Sorry to state it again, but this tour is for anyone who loves vintage shopping and thrifting and wants to see the very best vintage shopping that Lisbon has to offer. Please do not let this questionable and inaccurate review keep you from booking this super fun tour, especially if you are a true vintage lover and thrifter! Jenn, I am deeply sorry you didn't enjoy this tour, but your review is hurtful in so many ways. Also, you stated some things that are not true. I am hurt and offended.

Great time of shopping, socializing, sightseeing, and learning! Highly recommend this for all thrift and vintage enthusiasts or if you’re just interested in building a beautiful wardrobe collection. The tour guide was extremely informative, friendly, and professional.
Our guide, Leigh, made us feel instantly like part of her family. She shared delightful stories about her childhood in Portugal, helped with any translations we needed, and even joined us for a lovely lunch. Leigh gave us fantastic style tips and took us to hidden gems we never would have found on our own. We met shop owners, sipped complimentary wine, and explored charming neighborhoods like Alfama. We left with unique vintage finds and fun new outfits we can’t wait to show off back home. Highly recommend this unforgettable experience!
