I had an incredible experience on this tour, and I cavn’t thank Walled enough for making it so memorable. Walled was not only an excellent tour guide but also a fantastic driver. He was knowledgeable, professional, and had a great sense of humor that made the entire trip enjoyable from start to finish. Even when some people in our group were running late, he remained patient while keeping everyone on schedule so we could make the most of every stop. I always felt safe during the drive because he was careful, calm, and responsible behind the wheel. On top of that, he went the extra mile by helping us take beautiful photos, making sure everyone had great memories to take home. Thank you, Walled, for your kindness, patience, and dedication. Your hard work and positive attitude made this one of the best tours I’ve ever been on. I highly recommend this tour, and if you’re lucky enough to have Walled as your guide, you’re in for an amazing experience!.
Jay is excellent person . Very safe and good driver
Jay the guide was excellent and knowledgeable.
It’s worth to join this trip ! Beautiful scenery view . Although we had no luck seeing Bison but saw few deers . Our operator/tour guide J is very nice guy . He took care n watched everyone of us getting down the car safely . He has patience waiting ppl who came bit late . Thanks J for driving us a safely journey.
It was a great day! The guide was very informative and very flexible. I never felt that I was being rushed through any of the experiences. It was a great way to see some beautiful landscapes.
I’ve just returned from a brilliant day trip to Waterton. The day was well planned with a selection of great places to visit . The first venue was Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump Centre. This is an excellent place to visit and I would thoroughly recommend it . We were then driven through the wild bison paddock but sadly the bison were no where to be seen. A short stop at the Prince of Wales hotel outside Waterton was followed by a longer stop in Waterton itself. The views were incredible. We then went Cameron falls followed by a visit to Cameron Lake which was spectacular. We then went to red rock canyon which was also amazing. On our return to Calgary another trip to bison paddock where the bison were still hiding was followed by a visit to Lundbreck waterfalls . The journey is long but the transport was comfortable and cool . Information was provided en route about locations and history and folk lore . Jay , the driver and guide was exceptional. He was informative and friendly and was receptive to everyone’s needs. Yes it’s a long day ( 12hours) but it flew past and I saw and learned so much. Sadly no bisons or bears were seen but I had a fabulous time.
The driver/tour guide Mr Jay is a very nice man. He gives us enough time to visit places. And make sure we stay hydrated because the weather is quite hot today.
We had a great day. We saw a lot of places and learned some interesting facts and stories along the way. Sadly didn't see any bison but our guide took us around the paddock again on the way back to try again to see them - he was very accommodating throughout the day. Overall I'd say this trip is good value for money and convenient to see a lot of locations in one day.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was without doubt the best activity we booked during our stay in Calgary. From start to finish, we felt the experience was tailored for us as guests, not just as participants on a standardized tour. The program was flexibly adapted to the group’s wishes and interests, making the day both personal and relaxed. Waterton National Park and the surrounding area offer unique nature experiences, and we were so lucky to have fantastic animal meetings with both bears and deer. The guide knew where there was the greatest chance to experience the wildlife, while always showing great respect for nature and the animals. We also got to experience places and views that made the trip extra special. There were many small details that lifted the experience. Wi-Fi on board was very convenient, all park fees and activities were included in the price, and there was a generous access to snacks throughout the day, which is reflected in the price. Small group size gave us a warm, personal and engaging service, with plenty of time for in-depth information about the experiences, as well as local trivia, conversations between guests and spontaneous stops along the way. What impressed us most was the company’s attitude toward customers. We learned that they never cancel their tours, no matter how few participants are registered. It says a lot about how much they value the guest’s experience and the time they spend on travel. Customer satisfaction was the main focus of the company. During our stay in Calgary we unfortunately found that several other tour operators cancelled our activities on short notice because there were too few participants. It created both stress and uncertainty, giving the impression that profitability was prioritised over customer experience. The contrast to the Rockies & Badland Explorers could not therefore be greater. Here we really felt valued as guests. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fantastic time in Waterton National Park. If we visit Alberta again, we will definitely book more tours with them.
It was a long day but worth it. I recommend seeing Waterton Lakes NP before going to Banff. I think you appreciate it more if you haven’t seen anything like it before. Jay was a great guide. The narrative throughout was very interesting & added to the overall experience. To know what you’re driving past is better than just seeing it and wondering. And the fields of yellow flowers are canola oil fields.
