Amazing experience. The pre-trip communication from Overlord Tours is great with everything you need to know. Our guide was Jean Dilasser, and he was perfect all day, from ensuring the minibus was comfortable for us (we were there during a heatwave) and he had plenty of water and umbrellas for shade. All throughout the day he was super friendly, and very informative. The overall trip price was well worth it considering it also included the admission ti the Abbey. Jean also made sure that our whole group got into the Abbey as on the day they were closing access off early due to the heat. This is the second time we've used Overlord for tours in Normandy and we will definitely book again. Well recommended!

This was a great tour. Our guide, Jack, was personable, knowledgeable, friendly, and charming. Our tour included transportation to the Abbey parking lot, the bus ride across the bridge, a ticket into the abbey, time on our own in Mont St Michel, and a stop at the US cemetery at Saint James. Why did I only give four stars? The start time. By meeting at 8:20, we arrived at Mont St Michel, when the rest of humanity did. We had to wait 20 minutes for the shuttle bus to get to the island, then walk up to the abbey shoulder to shoulder with everyone. If we could’ve left an hour or even a half hour earlier, I think it would have made a huge difference. It was incredibly hot on the island and compounded with all the people, we were ready to go after an hour. We found some refuge by leaving the walled area, wandering outside and finding some shade near a garrison. We enjoyed our tour and would recommend seeing this amazing place to anyone as it is truly unique.

Despite the sweltering heat we had a great tour. The meet up was straightforward and the minibus was comfortable. Our guide was Jean and he’s was really great, knowledgeable and really friendly and very considerate of the passenger’s needs. Our friends had used Overlord previously and we would definitely use them again.

We had a fantastic day exploring Mont St. Michel & Abbey with our tour guide Oliver. Oliver was extremely personable, informational and professional. He has a great sense of humor which was enjoyed by all the participants. Visiting Mont St. Michel was a wonderful experience; truly amazing how it was built, the history, the location and the beautiful structure sitting out in the water - awesome. Oliver went out of his way to accommodate the group which was greatly appreciated. We had an awesome day. We set-up all our tours from the US and it was extremely easy to work with Overlord. Antoine from Overlord Tours was an outstanding guide on our June 20 tour from Bayeux to Mont-Saint-Michel. He was knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly kind throughout the day. We were travelling with a senior companion, and Antoine went above and beyond to ensure they were comfortable, supported, and able to fully enjoy the experience. He also recommended and took us to an excellent lunch spot where we enjoyed delicious traditional buckwheat crêpes, which was a wonderful addition to the day. His patience, thoughtfulness, and genuine care made the entire experience memorable. We would highly recommend Antoine and Overlord Tours to anyone visiting Normandy.

From the moment we met Stephen our tour Guide and driver was exceptional. Professional , polite , friendly and mini bus was extremely clean & comfortable . Our drive to Mont Saint Michel was fabulous with stories about our tour and WW2 . We had time to visit the Abbey at our leisure and had earphones and tablet to give a great understanding of the history of the Abbey . We were in a group of 7 whom we had met 3 guests from the previous tour the day before with OverLord tours it was a great experience from start to finish , the Abbey was fabulous and we have lovely memories of our time spent here, if you should be so lucky to get stephen as your tour guide you won’t be disappointed for sure .

In May 2026, we were fortunate to enjoy the hospitality and experience provided by Overlord Tours. When we did our research to choose a Normandy tour company, it was evident from the reviews and the details of their tours that Overlord was the correct choice. We chose two full day tours, Tour #2 to visit Omaha/Utah Beaches and Mont St. Michel. We can’t say enough about the quality of our tour guides and tours. Olivier took us to Mont St. Michel with several landmark stops along the way, including a stop at the Mont-de-Huisnes German War Cemetery. It is the only German military mausoleum in France. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Mont St. Michel…learning the history of how/why it was constructed, the purposes it served and the way of life experienced there throughout the centuries. We send a hearty thank you to Olivier for his historical expertise and his passion for the experience he provides to his clients. Thierry was our guide for our visits to Omaha and Utah beaches, the American Cemetery at Omaha and St. Mere Eglise. Visiting Normandy was on our bucket list for many years, and this did not disappoint. As history buffs, it met every expectation and more! He did a remarkable job of pulling it all together with pictures, historic details, colorful stories, numerous examples of the Allies’ winning strategies and the soldiers’ bravery to free France. Our unexpected stop was the Church of Saint-Come-et-Saint-Damien at Angoville-au-Plain. It is an emotional story about the goodness of mankind with Allied medics treating German soldiers. Overlord, Olivier and Thierry, thank you for your hospitality and for providing an exceptional client experience. We made this trip as grandparents with our 20-year grandson. It was a memorable experience and a trip our grandson will never forget.

Guide was Guillaume. He was very knowledgeable and considerate. Since the weather was very hot, he checked on each of us constantly as we walked to the top.

The tour guide John is so good. He is nice and he is a very excellent guide. I think having a good tour guide can make one have a excellent experience
