Begynd din dag i Chennai på Sri Ramakrishna Math på RK Mutt Road, hvor du kan nyde en fredelig atmosfære i ca. 45 minutter. Derefter besøger du Kapaleeshwarar-templet for at beundre dens fantastiske dravidiske arkitektur og livlige gopuram, hvor du tilbringer omkring en time. Derefter kan du tage en afslappet 45-minutters gåtur langs Marina Beach, nyde lokale snacks og havbrisen. Derefter skal du gå til Shirdi Sai Baba-templet i yderligere 45 minutter og fordybe dig i dets åndelige atmosfære. Følg dette med et besøg i Fort St. George, hvor du kan udforske det koloniale museum i en time. Vi besøger en unik klosterorganisation kaldet Ramakrishna Math, dedikeret til Sri Ramakrishna, helgenen fra det 19. århundrede. Gæster vil komme til at se det universelle tempel, helligdommen, en smuk Mantapam, et multimediemuseum og et fortryllende bibliotek.
Vi går mod Mylapore, et gammelt boligkvarter i Chennai, hvis historie går tilbage til romertiden, hvor det plejede at bytte peber og fint klæde med Rom for guld! Vi besøger det storslåede Kapaleeshwar-tempel. Bygget i det 7. århundrede er dette tempel dedikeret til Lord Shiva. Bygget i dravidisk stilarkitektur har det et tårnhøjt "Gopuram". Gæster kan forvente en fascinerende oplevelse af ritualer og sindsro inde i templet. Vores kulturevangelist vil afmystificere begivenhederne i templet!
Gå på Marina Beach, langs den 3 km lange hovedstrækning af Marina Beach, og du vil passere cricketkampe, flyvende drager, spåkoner, fiskemarkeder, majsristere og familier, der nyder havbrisen.
Dette er et tempel dedikeret til Sai Baba, den store mystiker, der forenede hinduer og muslimer og prædikede om universel kærlighed og broderskab. Templet er bygget med hvid marmor og har en lampe, som har været tændt i mere end 100 år
Fort St George er den første engelske fæstning bygget i 1644 af East India Company. Vi besøger St Mary's Church, den ældste anglikanske kirke i Indien. Vores kulturevangelist vil tage dig med til et malerisk museum rigt med relikvier fra kolonitiden og genfortælle historien om, hvordan det østindiske selskab forvandlede sig fra et handelsselskab til Indiens hersker!
Vi vil udforske mindesmærket for Swami Vivekananda, som var en stor filosof. Hans taler ved Verdens Religionsparlament afholdt i september 1893 gjorde ham berømt som en taler af guddommelig ret og som en budbringer af indisk visdom til den vestlige verden. Om mandagen er der lukket og vi besøger i stedet Egmore Museet.
Vi besøger den berømte San Thome-basilika, hovedkirken i det romersk-katolske ærkebispedømme Madras og Mylapore. Vi kan se relikvier af St. Thomas her. Det er en af kun tre kirker i verden, der er blevet bygget på en apostels grav. De to andre er Peterskirken i Vatikanet og Santiago de Compostela-katedralen i Spanien.
