Booking is false and gives wrong information. Booked at 5, finalized booking at 5:16, drove 30 minutes, got there at 6, PAID FOR PARKING, walked to address... FINALLY found contact info to call and the lady says they closed at 5, sorry. We shall see how long the refund takes now. Won't get the $10 parking fee back though!!
The Escapely Santa Monica was AWESOME! It was so cool how well they incorporated pieces of the city. It was very walkable and so much fun. We had a blast doing it. No feedback, only kudos because it was great. I will definitely look into doing more of them in the future!
It was fun for our family. The option to get hints in stages one by one was a great way to try it on our own and get a little clue without getting the entire answer. It was a fun walking tour of downtown Santa Monica landmarks!
The Santa Monica escape game was so much fun, even for an escape room beginner. It was just the right difficulty level to do with friends and make a fun day out of it, and I appreciated the special treat at the end. I’ve already recommended these escape games to my sister on the East Coast, and my friends and I are planning what our next one will be. I’d highly recommend it!
We opened the padlock and found the empty science lab testing tubes and then had no way to keep going because the app just said open the padlock and the padlock just had the test tubes with no instructions or QR code. So we ended up opening the last two envelopes to keep going but had to skip the tubes part and just try our best to keep going by opening another envelope and using the QR code. That was disappointing but the rest was fun and we appreciate the creativity of the adventure.
We had so much fun playing this! This is our second Escapely game and we love the great excuse to get outside for a few hours with friends, solve puzzles, and discover new parts of the city we’d previously missed.
Super fun adventure for escape room enthusiasts and people who love trying new things. Great for locals and tourists because it’s a great way to explore Santa Monica’s hidden treasures and learn historical fun facts! Puzzles were super fun; some easy and some challenging !
My bf and I did this experience recently! We are big escape rooms fans, and when we stumbled across this, we had to give it a go! It was a fun day date activity. I also love “The Amazing Race.” So, this felt like a simpler version of that! Overall, we had a great experience. Here is our feedback: Difficulty: While we appreciated the variation in puzzle types, the difficulty was mostly low. We did use a hint for the final puzzle. We would’ve loved more puzzles that “interacted” with the city. Each puzzle was unique and creative regardless! The storyline itself felt a little bit “young,” like this would be more appropriate for kids/family. Some highlights for us include: The test tube water puzzle, getting to walk around Santa Monica, and the puzzle with the awning metal grates. Overall, this was a great experience! Would recommend for anyone who is up for a day date/friends or family adventure.
As two local couples, this escape room experience had us reconsidering a part of town that we were already super familiar with.
Our family loves escape rooms; this experience was one of our favorites. Not only was this experience affordable and easy to obtain it was an amazing opportunity to explore Santa Monica in a fun and easy way. The clue box was shipped directly to our home and fit easily into our luggage. Once we arrived, we had a wonderful time exploring the 3rd Street Promenade. The clues were clever, immediately at hand, and just challenging enough to find. This was a wonderful challenge and a wonderful opportunity to explore a beautiful city. The support materials were excellent, providing just enough information to help us when we got stuck, without giving anything away. We will absolutely look for more Escapely experiences!
