Udawalawe National Park, det sjettestørste dyrereservat i Sri Lanka, ligger 180 km fra Colombo i den sydlige del af øen. Parken er beliggende lige syd for det centrale højland, hvoraf en skråning skaber en henrivende baggrund. Udawalawe National Park etableret i år 1972 med det formål at beskytte oplandet til Udawalawe reservoiret, som giver vand til landbrug og vandkraftproduktion spreder sig over et område 30.821, der ligner en afrikansk vildtpark.

Du når Udawalawe kl. 14.30, fortsæt til Udawalawe National Park, hvor du møder din safari jeep for at tage på en dejlig jeepsafari. Nyd en tre timers safari, som giver dig en chance for at udforske den fantastiske Udawalawe National Park. Awesome experience! Couldn’t recommend enough. We were picked up from our hotel in Weligama and had the 4 hour safari option. We saw over 75 elephants and lots of other wildlife.

It’s been a great trip we booked very spontaneous. Even though everything had be organised in a very timely manner they did great. From the pickup to the tour itself it’s been definitely been one of our Sri Lankan highlights. We can 100 % recommend it

Kani drove us to the park and he was fabulous. Janaka was our safari driver and he was excellent. Janaka could spot wildlife, especially birds, which enhanced our experience. The elephants were fun to watch. They are much smaller than African elephants, so we got really close to them. Lots of fun! Be ready for a bumpy ride.

Great safari, saw many animals - elephants, birds, snakes, crocodiles, water buffalo and more. Arranged the day before and everything went smoothly

It was a unique and beautiful experience! The organization went smoothly and especially my driver (Kani) was incredibly nice and helpful! Would book a tour or ride with him again at any time! The safari itself was also great. Experience elephants and other animals in the wild is a great experience. Under Safari Guide was also super friendly and was able to show us lots of animals and impart knowledge about them. An all-round successful day!

Super organized safari tour. Already after booking we received via WhatsApp the time of pickup at the hotel with additional information about car and driver. Our driver Suranga was on time. At Udawalawe National Park the jeep was already waiting for us. We had a private tour alone in the jeep. Our driver Darmasiri from Max Safari Villa drove us through the park, alerted us to the partially hidden animals, stopped long enough so that we could watch and photograph the animals in peace. In particular, he also took care not to disturb the animals. At the end of the tour our taxi with driver Suranga was already waiting for us and brought us back to our accommodation in Weligama. We can absolutely recommend the tour!
