To timers fyrtårnscykeltur fra South Portland-Mellow

Vores 2-timers tur går kl. 9 eller 15 og følger den naturskønne South Portland Greenbelt Pathway til to lokale fyrtårne. Det første stop på turen vil være Portland Breakwater Light, også kendt som "Bug Light", og derefter fortsætter turen til Spring Point Ledge Light, der ligger nær det historiske Fort Preble, før den vender tilbage til cykelbutikken.

Cykel langs en cykelsti og på et par stille veje langs kysten af South Portland til et lille fyrtårn kaldet Bug Light. t blev bygget i 1875 for at hjælpe skibe med at navigere ind i Portland Harbor og er stadig i brug i dag.
Fortsæt med at cykle til Spring Point Light. Dette fyrtårn blev bygget i 1897 og er beliggende for enden af en lang granitbølge, som du har tilladelse til at gå på for at besøge fyret. Ligger også ved siden af et historisk fort bygget i 1812 og brugt i enhver krig indtil anden verdenskrig.

All I can say is WOW! This tour and the staff are top notch! Our guide, Erin was so knowledgeable and she was very understanding that I am not the strongest rider! She was patient and even modified a few things for my skill level. We also enjoyed Paul, a new guide who joined us. This is small group bike tour (we actually had a private one!) that takes you on a few main roads and a gorgeous bike path to see beautiful views of the harbor, the coastline and several lighthouses! It's about 2-2.5 hours of riding with plenty of stops for rest, water and photos. If you're coming from a cruise, you may want to Uber over and back. It's walkable but it's about 40 minutes! We got off our ship a bit late due to the immigration process and the staff was very accommodating and communicative! Five stars all the way!

We had the most amazing guide Erin. She was super knowledgeable and had so many great local stories. She took us to lots of great photo spots and captured each moment. Best day ever…. What a wonderful way to spend the day together and see Portland.

This experience was definitely one of the highlights of my spontaneous trip to Maine! The tour guide was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and she made me appreciate Maine’s history even more through her engaging introduction and storytelling. The guides are very personable. Just renting bikes would not do the area justice. There are so many interesting stories to hear about the sites.
Nice paced ride with stops to take pictures and explore the lighthouses. Our guide Ross was very knowledgeable regarding the history of Portland, throughly enjoyed the tour!!
