Vores Twilight Tour blev skabt til børn i de øvre folkeskolealderen - dem, der er klar til dybere spørgsmål, kritisk tænkning og nysgerrighed om "hvad hvis". Ligesom vores uhyggelige tur fokuserer vi på den virkelige historie, dokumenterede beretninger og faktiske oplevelser, der er vidne til på ture. Twilight Tour graver dog dybere end Spooky Tour. Historierne er mere detaljerede med flere muligheder for at interagere med åndeverdenen. Turen er interaktiv - børn vil aldrig blive sat på stedet, men opfordres til at prøve noget nyt, noget de sent vil glemme. New Orleans er en magisk, mystisk by. På denne tur for 8-12-årige børn vil de forlade fascineret, fortryllet og måske lidt forskrækket. Vores tur er unik, fordi den er børnevenlig: ingen vold, ingen lemlæstelse eller "voksne" emner og sprog. Vi holder det rent!

Turen begynder ved Old Ursulines Convent, hvor familier vil lære om Ursulines nonnerne og deres kritiske rolle i at redde kolonien fra en vis undergang. De vil høre om kistepigerne, der er sendt hertil for at gifte sig med de unge nybyggere - men rygter om at have bragt lidt mere end deres brudekjoler til kolonien...
Fortællingen om dette palæ lokkede Nicholas Cage nok til at købe hjemmet - og Hollywood nok til at skabe American Horror Story baseret på den. Familier vil høre, hvad der skete her (børnevenlig version!!) - samt hvordan sandheden kom til at lære. Spøgelser gennem århundreder og på tidligere ture vil blive delt, såvel som et forsøg på at kommunikere med Madame Lalaurie...
Vi vil undervise familier om den irske immigrant/kreolske familie, der boede her - og døde her - i det 19. århundrede. Sørgeritualerne i denne katolske by, under victoriansk tid, vil blive udforsket med hjemsøgte antikviteter, som børn kan se - og holde (hvis de tør!) * Vi går ikke indenfor her, men det er et museum absolut et besøg værd!!
I denne butik vil familier lære om Lafitte - den mest magtfulde pirat i det 19. århundredes New Orleans. De vil høre om nogle af hans velkendte hjemsøgelser her - såvel som dem, han har oplevet på tidligere ture. Børn vil komme til at bruge et spøgelsesdetekteringsværktøj til at måle enhver tilstedeværelse af spiritus. (Voksne kan gå indenfor, mens vi er stoppet her.)
Vi slutter turen her og lærer om vores berømte Voodoo-præstinde, Marie Laveau. Familier vil lære om voodooens historie i New Orleans - dens forbindelse til Vestafrika og Haiti. Relikvier fra rejser til Haiti og voodoo-museer vil blive delt. Børn vil også lære om og skabe en gris-gris-pose baseret på historisk forskning. *Vi går ikke ind i museet, selvom vi opfordrer familier til at besøge!!

This was a fun experience for the 8 year old. The history of the Quarter and the spooky tragedies that occurred were taught in a great way that helped look beyond the surface of the buildings. Well done.

We took the Twilight Tour with two 10-year-olds and two adults and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We've taken standard ghost tours before which resulted in our kids being too afraid to sleep for a few nights, and this tour was PERFECT in terms of what was shared. It was spooky but not scary, and the kids were engaged the whole time. There were great stories and history shared, and the highlight for our kids was getting to use various tools (EMF meters, infrared thermometers) to look for ghosts. Highly recommend this tour and this company for tweens!
This tour was so much fun. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and was a total pro at keeping my kids' attention. There were hands-on activities to really grab their attention, and a mild amount of walking that was easy and fun. I highly recommend this tour!
We had a wonderful Twilight Tour with Tammy. My husband and I brought our 11-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter. Our son and as nervous to start with considering the spooky theme, but our daughter was all in. Tammy is very knowledgeable about the New Orleans area having grown up there and with her family going back several generations there. She is also a middle school science teacher. She wove fascinating and historical stories that were intriguing to kids and adults alike. She also has great energy and enthusiasm, and is good with kids. I won't spoil all the details, but parts of the tour are very hands on including ghost hunting and communicating. Our son eventually warmed up to the experience and became more involved towards the end. Our 8-year-old daughter stayed engaged the whole time, although she likely wasn't paying attention to all the historical details like our son was. If your kids are able to focus to some degree and have an interest in the supernatural, definitely give this tour a try!
I’ve lived in New Orleans for 18 years and have never experienced a tour so inclusive and interactive. Tammy was the perfect tour guide and can’t wait to go back for more tours ✨🤍🙌🏽👻
We took the Twilight Tour- Hauntings for Tweens (8-12 y.o) with our 11 year old. I could definitely see how kids on the younger span of the age recommendation would enjoy this. However, with an 11 year old, she thought the tour was stupid. The stories were not detailed enough and engaging enough. We should have done an adult tour. So, if you have kids on the younger spectrum, it might be more fun for them but if they lean older, then this is probably too "babyish" for them. We would have enjoyed more detailed story-telling and more facts/history.

As I would recommend to every customer, reviews are helpful but reaching out to the business owner directly is more constructive and will allow us to not only refund your tickets but also make changes to the tour. Without knowing who you are, I cannot refund your tickets. However, as a result of your review, we are revamping our hiring requirements, training procedures, requisite knowledge, and incorporation of historical context. We will address the weak points and ensure it does not continue. I hope you and your daughter enjoyed the rest of your trip.
This was one of our favorite things we did on our trip! MC was fabulous! She kept the kids entertained as well as the adults…she even had ghost detectors for the kids to use! It was a blast! A must do!

MC was a great guide, storyteller and teacher. Our kids enjoyed the overall experience though it felt a little too juvenile for our almost 12 year old.
The Twilight Tour with Mary Carol was, according to our 7 and 10 year olds, the highlight of our NOLA vacation. The whole family was captivated by the history and completely engaged. The ghost hunting gadgets made all the difference!
