Visit as very charming and pleasant. The quick visit to the beautiful old town was exhaustive but the real highlight was the recently renovated museum always very fascinating and absolutely to do. The competent guide is has shown us the archaeological and historical aspects of the various rooms. I highly recommend it because the guide gives essential added value to enjoy the best of what is on display.

I recommend to everyone a guided tour like the one we did on Sunday with an expert who made us fall into the history of ancient Egypt with simplicity but with extreme competence and professionalism. Thank you Dr. G. (I don't remember the full surname) I'm talking about the one who was "adopted from Benevento" and with Avellino roots. His accounts also of personal excavation experiences opened "a door" and "eyes" to us, obviously to the left! Thanks to whoever came up with this idea and gave it voice and legs. I had visited the museum about 10 years ago and I was disappointed by the state of neglect prevailing, yesterday we saw another museum, thank goodness!
This museum is well worth a day trip from Milan. Easy train ride and really beautiful city to explore. Our guide was top-notch in his knowledge of Egyptian history and culture.
