Casa Carbonell, en modernistisk bygning bygget i 1920'erne. Ifølge legenden blev den bestilt af en tekstilindustrimand efter at være blevet ydmyget af sit ydmyge udseende, da han ankom fra Alcoy under en epidemi.
Alicantes rådhus, bygget i det 18. århundrede, er et fremtrædende eksempel på valenciansk civil barok. Hovedfacaden har to symmetriske tårne, der indrammer bygningen. I det venstre tårn er uret, der bruger romertallet "IIII" i stedet for det sædvanlige "IV", en almindelig konvention inden for urmageri, der går tilbage til historiske traditioner.
Tidligere var denne plads kendt som Gallows Square, da det var stedet, hvor offentlige henrettelser fandt sted. Beliggende ved siden af den gamle mur og en af dens hovedporte, var det et strategisk punkt til at straffe befolkningen: henrettelser blev udført i fuldt overblik over alle, der gik ind i eller forlod byen.
Denne plads, tidligere kendt som Plaza de las Barcas, skylder sit nuværende navn til den berømte forfatter fra Alicante, Gabriel Miró, hvis statue har stået på pladsen siden 1929. Det er et sted med stor sentimental værdi for Alicantes befolkning og en oase af skygge og ro i hjertet af byen.
Denne gågade er blevet berømt for sin udsmykning med store farverige svampe, et kunstnerisk indgreb, der har forvandlet den til et ikon for børn og fotografier.
Teatro Principal åbnede i 1847 og er Alicantes kulturelle hjerte. Dens neoklassiske facade med joniske søjler er et af byens arkitektoniske ikoner.
Dette maleriske kvarter, beliggende på skråningerne af Monte Benacantil, har bevaret det mauriske layout med smalle gader, hvidkalkede huse og stejle trapper.
Det er det ældste tempel i byen, bygget på en gammel moské efter Reconquistaen. Dens gotiske facade og barokke detaljer vidner om dens udvikling gennem århundrederne.
Dette slot, der ligger på toppen af Benacantil-bjerget, har været en strategisk fæstning siden islamisk tid. Det er en af de største middelalderfæstninger i Spanien. Dens oprindelse går tilbage til det 9. århundrede, under dominansen Muslim.
Plaza de España er et af Alicantes vigtigste åbne områder, der ligger lige ved siden af det centrale marked. Det er et travlt område, både på grund af dets kommercielle aktivitet og dets nærhed til kulturinstitutioner og traditionelle kvarterer.

Det er udgangspunktet for mascletàs under bålene i San Juan. Tusindvis af mennesker samles her hver juni for at fejre Alicantes største festival.
Ved foden af slottet og ved siden af det historiske centrum er denne bystrand en af de mest kendte i Valencia. Dens navn kommer fra den gamle wicket gate (sekundær dør), der forbandt byen med kysten. I dag er det et ideelt sted at slappe af efter turen, med sin promenade, palmer og rolige vand.

Guide was good, nice friendly, saw some sights, only complaint is the tour on Viator said 1.5 hours and we were cut to 55 minutes. Seems they overbooked as they reached out early and tried to reschedule but we were in a cruise ship and could not.
Slightly disappointed. Firstly though, we couldn't fault the lady driver. Friendly, helpful and informative. Some very good historical titbits. However, it felt slightly underwhelming, perhaps because we are residents and knew a fair bit anyway. It covered the old town, new town, mushroom street, bullring, castle etc. Took 50 mins not 70 (maybe we didn't ask enough questions). The lady kindly altered our drop off point, which was appreciated. On the negatives, the tuktuk is not fantastically accessible if you have leg or knee issues. The tour commentary needed speakers really, rather than talking over road noise. And we didn't get our complementary water. Mixed review but on balance worth it for being something different.
Ride was nice but driver was too fast. Recommend to drive slower to appreciate the sites xxxxxxcxxxx

Too expensive for what it is, not worth it, very little explanation, the girl was nice but she hardly spoke Spanish, which was the option I chose when making the reservation... a brief tour of unimportant parts of Alicante, or at least that is how we felt due to the lack of explanation... the only thing I can highlight is passing by Zetas Street and knowing how to get to Santa Catalina Castle, which of course we went to afterward, because they only gave us 10 minutes and we could only reach the door where we asked... quality-price ratio 0.

Sinceramente, nos resulta difícil entender una valoración tan extrema cuando la mayor parte de sus críticas se refieren a expectativas que no forman parte del producto contratado. La ruta, la duración, las paradas y el carácter panorámico del tour están descritos con total claridad antes de reservar. Un recorrido en tuk tuk por Alicante no es una visita guiada de varias horas al Castillo de Santa Bárbara ni una excursión a pie por cada monumento de la ciudad. Pretender lo contrario es simplemente no haber leído la descripción de la actividad. 🖤🛺 También resulta sorprendente afirmar que hubo “nula explicación” mientras destaca varios lugares que descubrió durante el recorrido y que visitó posteriormente gracias a las indicaciones recibidas. Si realmente no hubiera existido explicación alguna, difícilmente habría obtenido esa información. Respecto al idioma, la guía realiza tours en español de forma habitual. Que su acento o forma de expresarse no haya sido de su agrado es una cuestión completamente distinta a afirmar que “casi no hablaba español”. Lamentamos que sus expectativas fueran diferentes a la experiencia contratada, pero el tour se realizó exactamente conforme a la descripción publicada y aceptada en el momento de la reserva. ☀️💨

The tour started off great . Dori our driver messaged me 10 minutes before expected time to explain where she was . The tour is really good , the tuk tuk was electric, so nice and quiet. She took us around the city and all the time pointing out interesting things with a commentary too . We even went up to the castle for 15 minutes which was good for photo opportunities. All in all a great way to see the city . Thanks Dori, you were fab .

Our driver was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and kept us on schedule throughout the trip. Dropped us at cruise port entrance so we didn’t have to fight traffic and bus ride.
