Vanskeligheder: Middel - 12,43 mi - 20 km (8 timer) - Starthøjde: 295 fod over havets overflade (90 m) - Maksimal højde: 2855 fod over havets overflade (870 m) - Turen begynder med afhentning på dit overnatningssted, og afhængigt af din placering ankommer vi for at hente dig mellem 6:30 og 7:00. Efter at gruppen er samlet, vil vores guide give os trekkingstænger og informere os om turen, især om vandreturen til Base Torres. Vi tager til Torres del Paine National Park. I vintersæsonen er grupperne små, med en guide for hver 4 rejsende. I sommersæsonen kan grupperne have op til 21 personer, med en guide for hver 6 rejsende til at tilpasse sig forskellige vandreture. På denne måde er alle deltagere altid ledsaget. Det er almindeligt for mindre grupper på 7-10 personer at danne sig langs ruten, hvilket giver en mere personlig oplevelse.
Efter den to timer lange tur i shuttlebussen ankommer vi til indgangen til nationalparken via Porteria Amarga Sector. Fra det øjeblik, vi træder ind i parken, vil vi nyde den imponerende udsigt over Torres del Paine.
På dette tidspunkt begynder du turen til Hostería Las Torres Sector. På en rejse på omkring fire timer krydser vi Ascensio-dalen og går gennem den hyggelige Lenga-skov. Vi vil også se Almirante Nieto Hill fra flere perspektiver, mens vi er på vej. I slutningen af dette afsnit bestiger vi en gletsjermoræne (stenet sti med en stejl skråning), indtil vi når vores destination, Base Torres Viewpoint.
Med disse utrolige udsigter spiser vi frokost, tager billeder og går ned til den lille strand, som er dannet af søen. Rør ved dens farvande og forundre den fantastiske udsigt fra stranden. Efter dette stop vil hele gruppen mødes og begynde nedstigningen, denne del er omkring tre timer. Shuttle-bussen vil derefter returnere os til Puerto Natales. Mellem 20.00 og 21.00 ankommer bussen til vores logi og slutter denne dag fuld af vandreture, spænding og minder ved Base of Torres del Paine.

This is a unique experience and, without a doubt, the best I have ever experienced. It is important to consider that it is highly conditioned by the climate. The guide was transparent from the outset and offered an appropriate service for this type of expedition, which helps minimize risks.

Great communication with the guides from the moment we booked, through pick‑up, and all the way until we were back at the hotel. The scenery was stunning from beginning to end. We enjoyed sunshine for the first four hours, followed by the classic Patagonian mix of clouds and rain — still absolutely beautiful. This guided tour/trek was a great way to hike Base Torres! Pablo and Sebastian were fantastic guides- knowledgeable and patient. It’s a tough hike, especially the last hour, even as someone who works out and runs regularly. I almost gave up with 30-40 minutes to go, but so glad I finished as the views were amazing. The descent was nearly as tough but well worth the pain!

I'm gonna start by saying that Viator needs to change this to a difficult level of hike. If you have any sort of ankle or knee issues, stay away. The view, the hike, all worth it. And our experience may be very dependent on the tour guide we had. Despite having ample time, the whole experience felt rushed, and there was little regard for the physical fitness level of the people hiking (we were a very small group of 4). Even after arriving to the top in a relatively quick pace, we were rushed down the mountain, not only making it dangerous, and painful, but also not really allowing us to take ok the views or take pictures. Carlos was nice but his music ok the morning was incredibly loud (before 7am) and we just didn't feel like he wanted us to enjoy the experience and it was more about getting it done. We were back at our hotel by 6:30 pm. Which really surprised us since he said we'd be back to the national park parking lot around 7 pm.
