Når vi har hentet dig fra dit valgte sted omkring 07:00 om morgenen, overfører vi dig til TranzAlpine for en af verdens mest naturskønne jernbanerejser. Nyd den betagende alpine udsigt fra panoramavinduer eller udendørs vogn. Din guide vil møde dig på Arthur's Pass Station for at starte din bjergtur.
Mens du nyder togrejsen, rejser din guide foran for at møde dig lige på platformen ved Arthur’s Pass Station. Derfra kører vi til Otira Viaduct udkig for spektakulære udsigter - herunder de levende røde Rata blomster i løbet af sommeren. Hold øje med den frække Kea, New Zealands nysgerrige alpine papegøje! Vores bjergudforskning fortsætter med et besøg i den fantastiske Avalanche Creek Waterfall og flere andre naturskønne højdepunkter i nationalparken.
Til højdepunktet af din eftermiddag, anbefaler vi stærkt Devils Punchbowl gåbane. En afslappet 1 timers tur tilbage fører dig gennem frodig bøgeskov til bunden af et tordnende 131 meter vandfald. Vandets magt og tågen på dit ansigt gør dette til en uforglemmelig alpine oplevelse
Efter din gåtur, nyde nogle velfortjent nedetid i den charmerende Arthur's Pass landsby. Du vil have masser af tid til at nyde frokost på et lokalt café, gennemse det historiske besøgscenter, eller bare nyde den fredelige bjergatmosfære, før vi fortsætter vores rejse.
Vores tur tilbage til Christchurch tager en anden rute med vej, der tilbyder landskaber, som togsporene ikke når. Vores første stop er den rolige Lake Pearson. Stop på Flock Hill: Oplev den fantastiske 'Narnia' filmoptagelsessted. Dette sted blev præsenteret i Disneys The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe som den primære slagmarken - en spektakulær indstilling omgivet af den hårde skønhed af Craigieburn Valley.
Vores sidste højdepunkt: Oplev 'Treasure from Afar' på Kura Tāwhiti. For Ngāi Tahu iwi, dette område har Tōpuni status - en symbolsk maske af beskyttelse over sine hellige værdier. Mens du går den nemme adgangsbane, kigge efter spor af 500 år gamle kultegninger og lære, hvordan disse sten blev dannet 30 millioner år siden, da New Zealand stadig var under et grunt indre hav.
Efterlader vi bjergene bag os, rejser vi gennem de store Canterbury Plains. Vi gør et sidste, lækkert stop i den landlige by Springfield for at se den berømte gigantiske donut - et must-foto landemærke! Derfra er det en afslappende sidste ben tilbage til byen, hvor vi siger vores farvel og droppe dig på dit valgte sted.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide, whose name I didn’t get, did a wonderful job taking us around Arthur’s Pass and Castle Hill and providing information on the area. The bus was delayed picking up the group in Arthur’s Pass after the train ride, but the company did a great job with keeping the group updated as to when our guide would arrive. The hike up to the Devil’s Punchbowl Falls was worth it, and the loop at Castle Hill was great as well. I would recommend this tour.

Fantastic experience. The train trip was fabulous to see the southern alps up close. Exploring Arthur’s Pass was just devine and Castle Hill is exceptional.

It was a fabulous experience. The train was gorgeous and the views were unbeatable. Plus, the staff was incredibly kind. The driver was great with fun facts and lots of yummy snacks. Anuj was our tour guide and he was absolutely brilliant. Very informative and knowledgeable, made the whole experience very smooth and enjoyable. Always looking out for us and took great care of the whole group with the snacks that helped a lot along the way. This itinerary was great to explore beautiful landmarks as a solo traveller. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this tour. I cant recommend it enough for the solo traveller. The other participants were lovely, the guide was fabulous, and the scenery was mind blowing. The many stops to take photographs and go for good walks were just the right amount.

We had a fantastic day. It was a great way to see the country side as well as explore the forest and see the waterfalls at Arthur's Pass. VJ was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable. We started the day by taking the Alpine Train to Arthur's pass. Then VJ took us to beautiful scenic spot and showed us where filming took place for the Lion the witch and the wardrobe. He also shared NZ snacks with us. It was a wonderful way to spend a day in Christchurch.

I did enjoy our tour from Christchurch via TranzAlpine to Arthurs’ path and back to the city. Our tour guide are accommodating and providing good insights and explanation. He provides guidance or alternative activity for some who cant do a hike. We did a couple of small stops for scenic lookout when we are going back to the City. The tour was not rush and we are able to be back to the city earlier than expected Highly recommended tour!
