Oplev kombinationen af ruter med bus og tog og nyd landskab og kultur i Andeslandene, mens du nyder lokal- og turistudviklingen i Quebrada og Puna. Mødestedet er på Plaza Antofagasta kl. 06.15, foran Salta-togstationen, og alle passagerer tjekker ind med billetter og pas. Når alle er registreret og sidder inde i bussen, begynder rejsen. Klokken 7:35 er dit første fotografiske stop i Campo Quijano, der ligger 30 kilometer fra hovedstaden. Vend tilbage til bussen kl. 8:05, og tag det andet stop ved Viaducto del Toro, som ligger på Quebrada.
Fortsæt og stop ved El Alfarcito, et sted, hvor traditionen for lokalt håndværk holdes i live. Nyd en landlig morgenmad, og besøg håndværksmessen. Vi besøger også Father Chifri Fundation, en organisation, der hjælper med at skaffe ressourcer og leverer uddannelse og uddannelse til lokalbefolkningen.
Derefter går vi direkte til San Antonio de los Cobres, en by ved foden af Terciopelo-bakken. Ankommer til kl. 11:40, når vi togstationen og går ind på det emblematiske tog til skyerne.
Kl. 12 starter du togturen og oplever skønheden i naturen, stillheden og umådeligheden. Ombord er der bar service, posttjeneste og merchandising for at gøre denne tur til en fornøjelse og en uforglemmelig hukommelse. Omkring kl. 13 ankommer vi til Viadukten af Polvorilla, den mest anerkendte bro i området. Her stiger du ned fra toget og har 30 minutter til at turnere stedet og tage utrolige fotos. Gå tilbage på toget og start tilbage til San Antonio de los Cobres, ankommer til stationen omkring kl. 14.45.
Her har vi to timers fritid, hvor vi kan turnere i byen, opleve forskellige aktiviteter med de oprindelige samfund, blandt dem, du kan besøge Craft Market, oprette en lerkrukke med dine egne hænder eller lave en vandring med lamaer ( valgfrit, ikke inkluderet). Det er også det ideelle tidspunkt at nyde frokosten (ikke inkluderet).
Cirka 16:30, gå tilbage om bord på bussen og start vores retur. Efter en times kørsel skal du tage vores sidste stop i landsbyen Santa Rosa de Tastil, hvor et af de største arkæologiske steder i vores land ligger. Det anslås, at det var omkring 3.000 mennesker vært.
Efter dette 20-minutters stop, start den sidste del af vores tur, ankommer til byen Salta omkring kl. 20.15.

This was a great day out. The coach was comfortable and there were quite a few stops along the way to break up the journey. We were lucky with the weather too.
An excellent tour - meeting point is clearly signposted, and transport is clean and modern. The train/viaduct is stunning and well organized but the journey to San Antonio is every bit it’s equal - the scenery is amazing. Well worth the time and expense.

This experience was a real highlight from our time in North West Argentina. Such a unique way to experience the mountains and get a feel for what traditional life was like there. Whilst also seeing the places where mining is happening and thermal pools are planned. Beautiful surroundings at a lovely pace. Highly recommend. If you come to this area and don’t do it, you’ve missed out. Note-only pesos are accepted on the train and by the traditional peoples selling their goods.
Very good experience. Just a repair: travelers should be advised to have lunch on the train as the suggested restaurant is very bad and the time for meals is small.
We paid over 700 usd for 3 persons . And when we asked if it was possible to reschedule our tour to another time it was not possible . All in all the cost is way too much compared with the experience.
Fun day. Very well organized. Amazing high altitude experience. Nice air conditioned buses with bathrooms which makes a BIG difference.
The tour is worth it and the photos are stunning. Now you will not hire the "Private Tour: Full Day Train Experience to the Clouds from Salta" for 375€. The train to the Clouds jumps bus-train-bus is exactly the same and costs 161€. Tangol Tours didn't even see them.reci

The tour company was fabulous, but it’s a long day and a long drive and not overly picturesque. Half the seats face at one way on the train and half face the other way. So you could be traveling backwards which makes me nauseous. The seats are pre-assigned at the train station.You’re knee and knee for quite a period of time with the people sitting across from you . It was worse than flying economy. It is nice that they have you change sides of the Planes halfway through the trip. All in all I’m not sure I would recommend this if you have other things you could do instead

BY VIATOR TRIPADVISOR WE PAY 4 TIMES MORE !!!!!! THAN MOST TOURISTS WHO TOOK THIS EXCURSION THE SAME DAY. We made the excursion with my wife on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, booked through Tripadvisor about a month earlier. We were picked up at the hotel by van and taken to the train terminal 10 blocks away. From there mic and then the train. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT WE TOOK WHEN WE WERE HANDED THE BUS-TRAIN-BUS TICKET THAT SAID $98,600 PER PERSON. When talking to other tourists, they had paid the amount mentioned on the ticket, plus approximately $3,000 taxi, for a similar journey we made by van. In short most paid a total of $101,600, at the official exchange of Argentina are U$S 109, of those present whom we asked, the maximum had paid U$S 150. US VIATOR TRIPADVISOR CHARGED US US$413.82 EACH !!!!!!!! APPROXIMATELY US$300 EXTRA EACH !!!!!!!! THEY BITTERED MY TRIP TO SALTA. I FOUND THE EXCURSION VERY GOOD BUT BEING ON THE TRAIN KNOWING THAT MOST HAD PAID 4 TIMES LESS THAN US, GENERATED A VERY UGLY FEELING. I cannot find the exact site on the Tripadvisor page to make this comment/complaint, I hope you will contact me to give me an explanation/refund, I use Tripadvisor services and this has never happened to me. I HOPE SOMEONE FROM VIATOR TRIPADVISOR WRITES TO US.
