En madtur med The Bordeaux Foodie! Deltag i vores Bordeaux madtur og opdag byen som en lokal. Mens du går gennem de ikoniske stenbelagte gader og historiske kvarterer, vil du opdage Bordeaux rige arv, mens du smager (og drikker) nogle af de mest lækre lokale delikatesser. Pey Berland er en historisk plads beliggende i hjertet af Bordeaux. Opkaldt efter Pey Berland Tower tilbyder denne livlige plads en blanding af arkitektonisk skønhed, kulturel betydning og levende energi. På denne plads vil vi tale om klokketårnet, Saint Andre-katedralen og de berømte bryllupper, der fandt sted her. Her, tæt ved katedralen, vil vi prøve de bedste cannelés i byen
Saint-André Cathedral, et arkitektonisk mesterværk og fundet lige i centrum af Bordeaux. Det står ikke kun som et fyrtårn for tro, men har også betydning langs den historiske pilgrimsrute Camino de Santiago. Desuden er det også her, nogle af middelalderens mest ikoniske bryllupper fandt sted.
Bygningen blev oprindeligt bygget mellem 1771 og 1784 og tjente som ærkebiskoppens palads i Bordeaux. I øjeblikket bevarer det sin betydning som byens administrative knudepunkt og en fremtrædende ramme for officielle sammenkomster og ceremonier
Rue des Remparts i Bordeaux, Frankrig, er en charmerende gade rig på historie og fyldt med smukke bygninger og små kunsthåndværksbutikker. Bogstaveligt talt oversat til "Gade af volde," det fremkalder byens middelalderlige fortid, engang omkranset af beskyttende mure. På denne gade vil vi stoppe ved flere fødevarevirksomheder for at prøve noget brød/kager, lave en honningsmagning og købe noget charcuteri.
Denne buede port står ved placeringen af en historisk indgang til byen, der går tilbage til oldtiden, inklusive romertiden. Beviser tyder på, at dette sted engang var hjemsted for et tempel, der ærede guddommen Jupiter. Andre hævder, at det var barrieren mellem den historiske by Bordeaux og det jødiske distrikt. I dag står det som et af byens mest ikoniske monumenter, absolut værd at se.
Beliggende i hjertet af Bordeauxs gyldne trekant, viser denne Grands Hommes raffineret arkitektur, eksklusive butikker, kulturelle spillesteder og nogle af byens bedste spisesteder. I løbet af det 18. århundrede fungerede dette område som byens travle gamle marked, men med tiden, efterhånden som Bordeaux udviklede sig, blev markedet forvandlet til det elegante distrikt, som det er i dag.
Place de la Comédie skiller sig ud som det fornemste sted i Bordeaux, ikke kun for sin plads, men også for den fantastiske udsigt, den tilbyder fra alle vinkler. Her finder du det berømte Grand Théâtre (operaen) og det luksuriøse Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux over for hinanden (begge er også hjemsted for 2 michelinstjernerestauranter). Fra hvert hjørne strækker alléer sig i det fjerne og afslører seværdigheder som Monument aux Girondins ved Place des Quinconces. I nærheden af operaen vil vi prøve forskellige varianter af chokolade fra en af de ældste chokoladeinstitutioner i Bordeaux
Også kendt som Bordeaux' lunger, er denne 11 hektar store have hjemsted for en række forskellige plantearter, en perfekt picnicdestination og simpelthen en oase af ro midt i den travle by.

An absolutely wonderful experience. Alexandra was a terrific tour guide. She blended historical information about Bordeaux with the food and wine we tasted. It was a great sampling of the food in Bordeaux, and the charcuterie she put together for the wine tasting was superb. We all enjoyed the tour tremendously and recommend it very highly.
If you love good food, good wine, history and being in good company the this tour is for you. Our guide Alexandra (who runs The Bordeaux Foodie) was informative, friendly, professional and funny. An absolute blast! Alexandra told us all about the history of the foods we were eating and connected historical figures to the foods. She was so knowledgeable it was the best food tour we’ve ever done! 12 out of 10 recommend!

Fabulous tour! Alex is aptly named the Bordeaux Foodie and conveys a real passion for the city and its gourmet offerings, along with interesting and amusing anecdotes linking the food to the city’s history. Fantastic introduction to local sweet treats and a local beekeeper’s shop devoted to an astonishing range of delicious honeys … heaven! Plus, of course, shops dedicated to cheeses, meats and chocolate, where selections were made for our lunch, according to our tastes. Finally, Alex prepared a delicious platter of these while we were introduced to Bordeaux wines in a local cave and then we munched our way through the guided pairings with a couple of glasses of wine. Delicious! A very pleasurable morning; great food, interesting chat (and no up-selling) and to be thoroughly recommended! Thank you Alex!

Amazing tour of Bordeaux filled with delights! It’s rare to have an excursion tailored with such thoughtfulness, and the special touches did not go amiss. Alexandra was brilliant at introducing us to each stop in a fun and informative way. It felt like a natural family day out! This was the only tour we could find that my 8 month old nephew could join too! The treats were delicious and the order of them was perfect. We could 100% recommend!!
