Trøffeljagt i San Miniato i Toscana med smagning

Den uberørte natur, forholdet til mine søde hunde, skovens stilhed kun afbrudt af fuglesangen. Alt dette er baggrunden for opdagelsen af et af de ældste og mest hemmelige erhverv i Toscana: trøffeljægerens. På grund af sin underjordiske natur, sin delikatesse og sin enorme økonomiske værdi har trøfler altid fascineret mennesket og spillet en ledende rolle i toscansk kultur og køkken. Under trøffeljagten vil vi rejse langs de stier, hvor trøfler naturligt vokser. Vi vil forklare alle trøflernes hemmeligheder, de planter, der lever i symbiose med dem, og hvordan man træner hundene; og hvis vi er heldige, finder vi måske endda nogle fine trøfler. Voksne og børn vil have det sjovt med at følge hunden og hjælpe mig med at grave trøflen op af jorden. De vil også lære mange ting om trøfler og naturen.

Leonardo is amazing! His passion for truffle hunting with his dogs and his willingness to share his knowledge makes him an exceptional host. He kept us entertained and taught us at the same time. It was the fastest two hours and forty five minutes of our three week Tuscan vacation. His ability to keep three generations involved at the same time is exceptional. The BEST!

Beautiful afternoon in nature with Leonardo and Aki, a very special highlight in Tuscany. Leonardo was warm and welcoming, so enthusiastic, informative and expert. Aki is an amazingly talented dog, so friendly and skilled at his craft, and found black and white truffles! Followed by a delicious truffle tasting. If you get the chance do it, you won’t be disappointed. Grazie Mille Leonardo and Aki, buona fortuna!

Best experience of the whole Italy trip. It was a once in a lifetime experience. Not many people will get to experience this in their life. We got picked up at the train station from Leonardo than went to his house to pick up the hunting dog. We then went into the Tuscany forest to hunt for truffles. We found 2 white truffles which are more rare and 1 black truffle. We learned the history and got to experience walking through the forest and the dog finding a truffle and Leonardo rigging it out. Than we went back to his house and had some truffle delights on bread. It was probably the best experience of my life. My gf, Katie and I, loved every moment of it. 10/10 recommend.

Leonardo and Ahi were amazing hosts! My husband and I had a tour by ourselves which was splendid. Learning about truffles and how they are harvested was very cool. Ahi was the cutest and found us 4 big summer truffles. It was a perfect morning hiking the beautiful Tuscan countryside. After the hunt Leonardo gave us a tasting of all of his truffle creations and graciously served them with wine. Unforgettable Italy experience!

We had an amazing time with Leonardo and his dog Ahi! A really smart man (full of good information) and a sweet and talented dog! He found multiple truffles and the walk in the woods was also very pleasant Definitely recommend doing this! Great memory!
