Oplev sydlig gæstfrihed på vores Charleston Brunch Food Tour i det livlige Upper King Street-distrikt! Vi starter i nærheden af det historiske William Aiken House og starter morgenen med en smør, håndlavet Hot Little Biscuit. Mens vi vandrer mod Marion Square, dykker vi ind i sjælen af Lowcountry madlavning med knusende Fried Green Tomatoes. Gå gennem Mazyck-Boragard-kvarteret, vi vil smage en sød og saltet Croffle med stegt kylling og lokal honning. Vi forkæler os også i cremet Shrimp & Grits og Pimento Cheese, "Sydens Kaviar". Før vi slutter i nærheden af Aiken-Rhett House Museum, afslører vi vores utrolige Secret Dish - en varm, nostalgisk delikatesse med en unik lokal twist!

Huset anses for at være det bedst bevarede kompleks af antebellum-husbygninger i Charleston. Det var hjemsted for William Aiken, Jr., en guvernør i South Carolina, og før det hjemsted for hans far, ejeren af South Carolina Canal and Railroad Company, William Aiken.

Hans hus var oprindeligt konfigureret som et Charleston dobbelthus med indgang til huset fra sydsiden langs Judith Street. Huset anses for at være det bedst bevarede kompleks af antebellum-husbygninger i Charleston.

Hotel Bennett åbnede den 27. januar 2019. Dets bygning var 20 år undervejs, banede vej i marts 2015 og tog 47 måneder at bygge. Hotellet er designet til at føles, som om dets oprindelse går tilbage til det 18. århundrede. Mange af Charlestons historiske hjem blev brugt som designreferencer.
Den tredje brandstation bygget efter jordskælvet i 1886 var en ny Station 6. Den erstattede det tidligere Marion Steam Fire Engine Company lige nede i blokken.

Favorite half day to explore Charleston food!
Just completed the Charleston Brunch Food Tour with Perry. Great walk around Charleston with the absolute BEST tour guide ever. Perry is so easy and fun to be with. He should run for Mayor - everybody knows him and doors open to food restaurants we never would have found on our own! One of the best ways to spend a half day in Charleston!

Great tour, great food
Our tour guide, Perry, was wonderful! He is very knowledgeable about Charleston and about the food scene. He has a very good relationship with the restaurants and everything was waiting and ready for us when we arrived. I would highly recommend this tour to get a flavor of Charleston and highly recommend Perry!

Amazing
Nathan was one of the best tour guides I have had, and I have taken food tours all over the world. He was incredibly knowledgeable about our food and it’s history, and I found out a lot of amazing things that I did not know about the history of the dishes, I would highly recommend him as a guide

A lovely food tour!
Nathan was extremely knowledgeable about the history which we loved. Gave many suggestions to where to visit. He tested our knowledge of facts , enjoyed learning more about where we are visiting!! Thank you for a wonderful tour!! So enjoyed all the sampling of the foods from all the restaurants!!

Great food, Great experience, Great guide.
Perry was absolutely amazing. Not only did he provide knowledge of the city’s history and the food we were sampling, he kept the energy flowing throughout the entire tour. 10/10 for food, experience, and the guide.

So fun & delicious food
Our guide, Perry was so fun and full of awesome history and details on Charleston and the food scene. The food was delicious at each place. Not his fault but either the company of trip advisor had the wrong place listed for the meeting place. Thankfully Perry called me and waited until we got to the right location. He was an amazing guide!
