Tour Cenotes Santa Bárbara

Beskrivelse

Beautiful cenotes. Excellent for first time visitors to cenotes. Easy access, clearly lite pools, limited walking. Built for tours and tourists for sure. Fairly expensive by local standards, $450 pesos. Clean washrooms, change rooms and restaurant on premises.
We arrived and parked in a large parking area. We bought our tickets, got a wrist strap, and went in. Lots of signs. Banos, life jackets, restaurant, etc. we got our life jackets and decided to do without bicycles. We were directed to the petit train but got a minivan instead. The first cenote is about 1 mile away. Cenotes 2 & 3 are very close by. You then get the minivan or petit train back to the start where cenote 4 and the other facilities are. We enjoyed the first 3 cenotes. We changed in the little Banos hut and left our belongings (including phones wallets etc) in a small walled area. It is open but most people are trusting. We then showered and waked down into the cenote. It was pretty busy but worth going into and worth swimming. We left hats, glasses and 1 phone on a step at the bottom. No problem. Nice swim if a little crowded. Went back out and walked 100 metres tops to the second one. This was accessed by a large circular walkway. Fewer people here and there was a central spot for all the influencers to take photos. Nice swim around. Back out and on to the 3rd cenote. Again, even fewer people here, but there was an annoying guide who encouraged his clients to jump in and shout etc. despite this we had a good swim round and enjoyed the views out the top. Back on the petit train to the start where we went to the 4th cenote. This has wheelchair access via a lift. We walked down and within a minute were the only people there. Again a big open roof and some vultures in residence. Nice swim and then back out. We then handed in our lifejackets, showered and changed. Looked at the viewpoint and then went to have our lunch. This was included in the entrance price for an additional 120 each. I think this brought the total cost to 570 each. I had a beer for 40! My wife said this was her best meal in Mexico to date. I disagree as I have had some very good ceviches. All in all very good value and pretty effortless.
What a magical place to visit! Since we stayed at an airbnb, the driver picked up at a small hotel 2 blocks away. Gilberto was a great tour guide, providing a lot of information about what we were experiencing at the cenotoes. The three we visited (and swam in) were all somewhat different in their structure. The first had a smaller entry hole and was darker inside. The second one was huge and had lots more people in it. There were tons of stalactites too. The third one, my favorite, had a very large opening. Upon descending the steps at least 40 feet down, you enter a narrower area like a canal which takes you into the main part of the cenote. Water droplets pour over the edge so beautifully. The life vests allow you to float the whole time without having to know how to swim. Highly recommend!
Very good Service and nice place with good facilities. We had great fun, we knew more about our country and nature.
Caesar was an incredible guide. He made the experience memorable for both my wife and I. Extremely personable and his English was excellent.
Very beautiful place, where you can enjoy a variety of cenotes, its costs are very cheap and traditional food is found one very close to those places, it is enjoyed to the maximum and without relaxing.
It was a unique and unforgettable experience, marvel at knowing the types of cenote, discovering its water tones
Our tour guide was the real deal and made the tour really enjoyable. Highly recommend anyone needing a good English speaking guide. Lunch was really good and better than l expected. Great experience and you will enjoy the cenotes.
Our tour guide, Cesar, was exceptionally lively and very knowledgeable about Mayan culture. The cenotes were beautiful and the food was delicious.
Super nice and amazing to know the cenotes. For the comfortable amount of $250 includes bicycles (or cart) to go from cenote to cenote and food (very rich and good proportion)
