Our visit to Topkapi Palace was an outstanding experience. The palace is beautifully preserved and presented, offering a fascinating journey through centuries of Ottoman history. I am travelling solo and Cem was my guide to topkapi and the harem. I had a positive overall experience, Cem was very experience and shared the history about the castle in a fun and interesting manner. I recommend getting a guide for this tour as the area is large and it would be easier to appreciate history with a guide that would offer explanations about the history.

We booked the 9 AM tour the night before, so I thought the process might take some time, but everything was confirmed very quickly and the meeting point was easy to find. Our guide, Cem, was knowledgeable and explained the history in a clear and comprehensive way. The whole family really enjoyed the tour and learned a lot. He was also very friendly and kindly helped us take some great family photos, which we really appreciated. Skipping the queue is a huge advantage. The price of this tour may seem high but entry prices to all Istanbul sites are high compared to the rest of Europe. As long as the group doesn't get too big this is good value.
