Ramon was professional and knowledgeable regarding the places we visited. He also (unexpectedly) took us to a Chocolate Factory and Blue Glass Manufacturer which were very interesting. Thank you Ramon for a great day!
It was ok the guide was friendly but not informative. He basically just took us to the main streets but did not say much nor explain much.
With this group tour, by bus, we first visited selected sites of Guadalajara before heading to Tonalá. We ended up with a group from the US, pretty much everyone was a Spanish speaker, but the guide switched between Spanish and English to accommodate everyone. In Tonalá, the street with sculptures was interesting. The highlights of the tour have been well chosen, and the free time both in Tonalá and Tlaquepaque was useful. In Tonalá, we walked through the biggest artisan market I have ever seen anywhere in the world. In Tlaquepaque, we had our photo taken with a man holding a tequila glass and wearing a professional face paint from a western comic, showing facial expressions at the level of a professional actor—some of the best shots we had during our stay in Mexico! We had a lunch in a restaurant with a live female band, fantastic decorations, and the hottest chilli.
Excellent place to buy crafts and typical food. It is a good walk, you will walk a lot in a very fun and entertaining way. You will find a lot of crafts at a good price
Our favorite part of Tonola was the beautiful and unusual art work and the great shopping experience! Tlaquepaque had very nice shops and restaurants and the food was amazing! We would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting the Guadalajara area.
We are glad that you enjoyed the tour! Jalisco has incredible places that we hope to show you another time!
Beautiful area as well as a into to the culture, arts and talents of many of the locals. Let alone the food was delicious
Thank you for sharing your experience, we are glad that you enjoyed the tour.
Excellent to go in October to see the traditions. friendly people all delicious do not say the vendors in the square
Estamos felices de que tu experiencia haya sido grata! Gracias por hacernos parte de tu experiencia!
We took this tour to get an overview of the Tonala and Tlaquepaque shopping areas. The van was nice with AC and there were only 6 people on the tour. Unfortunately, it was very rainy when we were in Tonala and we didn't do much shopping. The guide did take us to a glass blowing factory. In Tlaquepaque, he walked us up the main shopping street, showed us where to have lunch, and where to meet the bus in 3 hours. Rather than being a tour, this was more of a taxi service to the two areas. We were not sure that is was really worth the $57.00 per person. We went back to Tlaquepaque two days later. Our hotel called a taxi for us ($6.00 US for 4 riders) and the driver dropped us off and we did more shopping. We took an Uber back to the hotel.
We are very sorry that we did not meet the expectations of your trip, unfortunately sometimes due to the rain in places like Tonalá we have a lower influx of artisans, vendors, etc. so this did not allow us to provide you with the best service, however we hope to be able to count on your preference on future occasions on a sunnier day for some site in our state.
