Når vi tænker på Spaniens historie, står Toledo i en uundgåelig position. En af de tre kulturers byer blev med tiden Grecos hjemby; byen i Europas seneste gotiske katedral er enestående og et besøg værd. Dette er planen: vi går indenfor i katedralen; Sankt Tomé; St. María la Blanca og St. Juan de los Reyes, og mellem disse monumenter vil vores guide give en vandretur om selve byen. Men det største spørgsmål er: hvilken slags besøg? Vi er i 2023; for at bekæmpe masseturismen har vores grupper kun 10 personer. Vi kunne gøre hvad som helst, men vores slogan har altid været "Vi elsker dette sted." Nå, vi påtager os pligten til at gøre det bæredygtigt. Vi er de guider, du har brug for, og det er den tur, som nobelbyen Toledo har brug for, at vi gør. Vi vil lave en vandretur og besøge de vigtigste monumenter (inklusive katedralen) i små grupper, hvor guiden kun taler ét sprog (vi kan heller ikke lide tosprogede ture).

Hjemsted for Grecos mesterværk "The burial of the Lord of Orgaz" og et storslået mudéjar-tempel.
Dette plejede at være en synagoge, i dag er en kirke i mudéjar-stil.
Vi vil besøge dette gotisk-elizabethanske kloster (når vi siger Elizabethan, mener vi vores Isabel -Elizabeth- I af Spanien) kloster.
Et af de mest imponerende templer i den spanske gotiske stil. Vi vil bruge omkring en time inde i denne vidunderlige bygning.

Macarena was such an incredible guide. Being from Toledo, Ohio USA, I knew we wanted to do a tour of Toledo, Spain and I did NOT want to do it with a large bug group. Paying for a small group tour was not that much more expensive and 100% worth it! In fact, it ended up being just me and my boyfriend on the tour! We were able to ask questions and she was able to give us excellent suggestions for lunch in Toledo as well as sent us messages re: suggestions in Madrid. Toledo was one of the highlights of our France/Spain trip and much of that was because of our guide. Only one other time I have I fallen in love with a city (Florence), but I think I may now be cheating with Toledo! The tour length was perfect to cover all the major attractions and we received the tourist pass bracelet to get into any other monuments for free. THANK YOU MACARENA!
Our guide Stephi was phenomenal and the history of the city fascinated us. Before we met our guide, we had to make our way to the main Square from the local train station. There are lots of steps and a lot of elevation to cover to get into town. We arrived at 9:30 in the morning so the weather was still cool enough to make the walk. I would not have wanted to do it later in the day when it was warmer. Plenty of taxis available and buses too to avoid the walk.

We throughly enjoyed our tour! First off our guide, Alex, was terrific. Super informative, friendly and allowed for great conversations. He was really on it prior to the tour making sure we got there ok and knew exactly where to meet him! A small group of 5 allowed for a real personal visit to this lovely town! Highly recommend this tour and Alex! Thanks ☺️

Belene gently kept us on- track as she shared her passion for and knowledge of Toledo. Ending in the cloisters, listening to the choir practice, was perfect!

Our tour guide, Belen, gave an excellent historical tour! She was very knowledgeable regarding the history of Spain, with specific Toledo history as well. She did very good job of explaining Toledo’s importance in the history of Spain. She highlighted the beauty of Toledo, paying extra attention to the cathedral and the Jewish quarter. Would highly recommend the tour.
