På denne tur kan du beundre de store forskelle mellem Makedonien og Albanien i landskabet, kulturen, kunsten ... Indtil for nylig var Albanien et meget lukket land, og nu er det et populært rejsemål. Selvom det er en længere tur, er det det værd.

Katedralen er dedikeret til den hellige visdom, bygget på grundlag af en tidlig kristen basilika, og den blev renoveret og prydet med fresker i isbiskop Leos tid i perioden mellem 1037 og 1056.
Stående alene på en klippe med udsigt over Ohrid-søen over Kaneo-fiskerilægget. Arkitekturen er en kombination af byzantinske og armenske elementer.
Over indgangen til museet er en stor vægmaleri med titlen Albanerne, der skildrer påståede gamle til moderne figurer fra Albaniens historie. Museet inkluderer følgende pavilloner: pavillonen fra oldtiden, middelalderen, renæssance, uafhængighed, ikonografi, national befrielsens antifascistiske krig, kommunistisk terror og moder Teresa.
Det, der engang var beregnet til at beskytte Hoxha og hans kabinet i tilfælde af et nukleart angreb, er nu et kunst- og kulturcenter med blandet brug, men med et skarpt øje mod bevarelse og erindring om de mørke år under Hoxhas styre.

It was a lovely but long day. We started at 7am and I didn’t get back to my hotel until after 10pm. So if you’re okay with that the tour was a great way to see the countryside and learn more about the cities and countries. My driver was EPIC and we talked about life in two different parts of the world. It was really a lovely trip.
A fantastic experience and highly recommended. Our guide, Petrit, picked us up and made the day very comfortable and enjoyable. He is very knowledgeable about each place. It was a very long day but that's because Tirana is very far from Skopje! However, it was worth it to get to Albania. The itinerary was perfect, just enough time in each place. Well worth it!

It was a very pleasant journey with Petar, my guide/driver. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. Ohrid is a wonderful place to visit, rich in history and fantastic natural beauty!
I was able to understand different cultures between Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Albania; the tour guide was excellent in helping to understand the historical background among these countries
With our excellent guide we took a few hours driving to Ohrid and Tirana. I was pleasantly surprised of Ohrid. The view from the Ancient theatre to the lake is great. In Tirana we started from the central square, at the statue of Skanderbeg and spent the next two hours learning about the center of Tirana and the local sites. It is an interesting city. Do not forget to bring camera!!!

i modified the itinerary to go Tirana direct and later stop by Ohrid. the journey to Tirana is long (6 hours drive). most of the road condition is ok except the part from Border to Elbasan. not lucky there were a few slow driving truck in front and costs a lot of time. Driver and guide are very professional which makes the trip much more easier. Tirana is a very modern city which contrast to my expectation. both countries are improving the roads.
