Denne tur krydser den vestlige Belize-Guatemala grænse. Grænseovergangsprocessen hos os er enkel og assisteret af vores team. Du skal først betale Belize afgangsskat (USD 20) pr. person og modtage en afgangsstempel i dit pas. Vi vil derefter hjælpe dig ved Guatemalas grænse, hvor du vil modtage din adgangsstempel. Hele grænseovergangsprocessen tager omkring 30 minutter.
Efter cirka 1 times kørsel i Guatemala, vil vi gøre et kort stop for at tage billeder af Lake Petén Itzá, en af de tre største søer i Guatemala.
Efter i alt 2 timers kørsel fra grænsen ankommer du til Tikal National Park, hvor det er tid til at gøre dig klar til din guidede tur. Din lokale ekspertguide vil lede dig gennem højdepunkterne af Tikal Archaeological Site, herunder Great Plaza med Temple I og Temple II, den nordlige Akropolis, Central Akropolis, Temple III, Temple IV og den fortabte verden kompleks. Du vil have fritid til at klatre udvalgte templer og tage billeder fra de bedste synspunkter, som anbefalet af din guide. Mens du går langs junglens stier, kan du opdage lokal flora og dyreliv, såsom edderkopper, hulerapper, coatis, kalkuner, toucaner og mange andre fuglearter. Efter ca. 3,5 til 4 timers guidet tur, vil det være tid til at starte returrejsen.
På vej tilbage fra Tikal kører vi ca. 30 minutter til en lokal restaurant for at nyde den inkluderede frokost. Du vil have fem menu muligheder at vælge imellem, herunder vegetariske og veganske muligheder, med en drink inkluderet. Sæt dig tilbage og nyd din måltid serveret med håndlavede corn tortillas.
Efter frokost kører vi ca. 1,5 timer tilbage til grænsen. Vores team vil hjælpe dig med grænseovergang for at vende tilbage til Belize. Der kræves ingen grænseafgifter ved returovergangen.

We had a wonderful tour of Tikal thanks to our guide Luis and driver Julio. Our family was staying in Belize and wanted to tour Tikal. Since we were only 2.5hrs away we checked with our concierge at Black Rock Lodge, San Ignacio and he arranged our trip. We had no idea who we were going with but it all worked out so much better than we could have expected. Our driver dropped us off at the border crossing between Belize and Guatemala and pointed out our Guatemalan driver, Julio. We paid $20US each to cross the border and then Julio escorted us into the Guatemala building to get our passports stamped in Guatemala. Then we were off to Tikal. Julio took us to a nice shop where we picked up our guide, Luis. While in the shop Luis showed us a large map of Tikal and the recreated burial chamber of the king. We drove another 30 minutes to the Tikal entrance, placed our lunch order at the restaurant by the entrance and then drove another 7km to the parking area. From there we set off on foot and walked for 4+ hours through this UNESCO world heritage site. Luis explained the complex Mayan society, the various plazas and pyramids, agriculture, and water collection. We climbed all the pyramids that were open to us. At the end he took us to the king's palace and we had the entire complex to ourselves. Luis not only explained parts of the Mayan religion and history but also showed us many plants used in holistic healing. I'm grateful that we had a guide of his caliber to explain this is such a vast site. We stopped for lunch just outside the park. The food was delicious and the juices refreshing. It was a long day, but worth it! Excellent tour company and fantastic guide and driver. Thank you!
Our group had a wonderful time with Yumi and Israel. Yumi was a very fun, knowledgeable, friendly, personal guide. The sites were amazing and we were so glad we went. Would recommend to anyone.
We took a day trip to Tikal from San Ignacio with my parents. Our tour guide for the day was Sergio who made the trip really special!!! We loved the visit to the Tikal Mayan site. The history is breathtaking and truly a wonder of the world. The lunch that was provided was also delicious. We would definitely recommend this trip. Thank you Sergio!!
We did a day trip from our hotel in San Ignacio and had a great time. Everything was managed from drivers to guides. We had a little hiccup in our set up but we wouldn’t have even known and it made absolutely no difference to our day. In fact, we ended up interacting with two extra guides beyond our assigned one and got even more perspectives on the ruins. Had many laughs and a brilliant time touring these amazing ruins (would also say, if you are not sure whether Tikal is worth it, it absolutely is and having a guide is essential to get the full experience). Highly recommend the tour and the company that did it for us!
Our tour guide has lived in the Tikal his whole life and had incredible knowledge of the area and history. The visit to Tikal probably wouldn’t be worth it without the tour guide. He also took us down trails that the larger groups didn’t take so we always had a more personal experience

Great experience overall. From having a contact help with the Belize-Guatemala border crossing, to the drive to Tikal and meeting our guide was all done seamlessly. Our guide was very good, able to explain the history of the various sites as well as the plant and animal life around us. It made for a much better experience than if we went just ourselves. There is a fair amount of walking and stairs due to the scale of the ruins, so be ready for some exertion, but well worth the effort!
